Cool Cow Creamery — Restaurant in Kemah

Cool crew with cool treats available to drive up to your cool venue. I’ve bumped into these guys now at three completely different venues and I made sure to grab something each time.

Today I had brought family members that were sensitive to tree nuts and the owner was super accommodating and cleaned his spoons and asked if there were any other allergies he needed to be aware of before serving. He gets a gold star for that.

PRO’s: -THE ICE CREAM! It’s top shelf stuff, for sure. Even their plain-old vanilla is on point. -STAFF. Everyone I’ve met in this truck are super helpful and kind. The owner is present and working right alongside the rest of the crew. -EVENT FRIENDLY. Like I said, I found these peeps at different events I was at. You got something you think both of you could benefit by Cool Cow being there? Then reach out to them! -SQUARE. You can use your card or cash, they’re prepared.

First time trying this place, the ice cream was phenomenal, I had a cookie sundae which was amazing. The young man helping us was great although a little flustered.

My reason for leaving 2 stars, the young man was the only person attending customers. He was serving 2 people when my wife and I walked in. The phone was ringing consistently and he couldn’t take it. It got to a point where he had to take the phone to the lady in the back of the store to answer it just to serve the people inside. She then brought the phone back up and went back. At the point of us ordering, 2 more guys walked in, followed by a family of 4-5 people. Definitely a full house and yet he received no help from the lady in the back. She even peaked through the door & proceed to just turn up the music and stay in the back. Within 10-15 minutes this young man went from serving 2 people, to 10+ and didn’t receive help whatsoever. This past Saturday after visiting the Kemah Boardwalk we decided to stop by Cool Cow Creamery for Ice Cream. This was my second visit there and the ice cream was even better than the first visit, it was delicious. My rating would have been 5 stars based on the product served, unfortunately it was not a real memorable visit. The teenaged girl working behind the counter was so incredibly rude to my family as well as being sharp to the young couple behind us. She acted like she was put out by having to scoop my husbands selected flavor, the eye roll she gave me when I ordered a shake was uncalled for. My husband saw my reaction to her non verbal communication and when she turned to make my shake, he said "We are going to just pay our bill and get out of here".
