I made a reservation online and when the restaurant texted me to come inside they greeted us and tried to seat out outside. When we reached the table I politely asked for a seat inside because I was with MY 4 MONTH old baby and the heat here is no joke. As a military mom and veteran who is constantly moving it is hard to find a good place to eat. We’ve been to the first watch in Doral where the service was 10x better. Anyway, they told me they already took our name off the list so In order to get a seat inside i would have to wait 45 min AGAIN. I asked to politely be accommodated and saw an open booth ESPECIALLY because we didn’t even sit by the time we were headed outdoors where I told LYDIA it would not work for us. MICHELLE in the front became very irate and nasty with me as I pleaded for my daughters sake to just have the booth that was STILL empty as she was trying to speak over me and tell me that she was not able to help us because the name was already removed. I was VERY EMBARRASSED with how she spoke to me and kept my composure from crying because of how stressful this whole scene was especially as a first time mom. I sat outside for my family’s sake of enjoying their meal and had to hold my baby UNDER A FAN. Our server was great. LYDIA had to cut MICHELLE off while she was being nasty because she knew the convo was not going well and told me to only wait 20 min at our table and that she would bring us to sit inside which she never did. Before we left I asked for their names and MICHELLE seemed to find it funny. I didn’t not wish to speak to the manager in the from with red hair because not once did she intervene to help de-escalate the situation and the man at the front said the other managers were busy. So we left. I just tried to call and speak to a manager and the host told me to call back in 2 hours because they were too busy helping in the kitchen. I’m from NY so I understand the pace in which things were however when a manager is needed they should be ready at all times which they are not. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this restaurant nor will any of my family or friends or even anyone who needs a good recommendation from me due to the HORRIBLE, RUDE and SELFISH filled with ATTITUDE type of service I received today. I’m in complete shock as to how someone can be so rude to a family with a 4 month old all because she did not want to give us a seat inside at an empty table where she wasted both our times trying to argue with me about it and we’ve could’ve been sat inside. MICHELLE completely RUINEDDDD my first watch experience to the point where I will never go to a chain of it again either. The fact that I’m even wasting my time composing this review is to warn ANYONE looking to eat here that they should not if they want to be treated fairly and with respect especially infront of babies, children, elderly and family. MICHELLE does not need to be hosting in the front nor should she even hold a job position at such an establishment that wants actually held some what of a standard to me. Worst service on a Sunday in a beautiful area that should have great service considering it being deemed family friendly. Never again, thanks for...
Read moreTLDR; food is good, but I would not recommend coming to this location.
I joined the mobile queue for a party of five and checked in with host stand and was waiting for my table as usual. I am familiar with the online check in process and have done it several times at other locations. I was told it would be a 5-15 minute wait via the website and by the hostess when we arrived . It ended up being close to an hour total, and would have been longer if we didn't check in with the host stand staff as often as we did. We had an elderly person with a walker in my group.
I was told that I was next in line multiple times. But I kept seeing groups of similar or larger sizes including a party of five and another of six or seven people who arrived (and checked in) at least 20 minutes after me were seated ahead of us. There were also multiple three or two top parties that also got seated ahead of us despite arriving later.
When I approached the person who identified herself as the manager to express my concern, she was dismissive, insisting that those parties had arrived earlier despite the clear time stamp showing I had on my phone about when I joined the queue, as well as my name at the top of the list in the hostess' tablet. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional, she cut me off and raised her voice, and it only added to the frustration of the situation.
The front-of-house staff demonstrated a complete lack of customer service skills and clearly did not know how to effectively communicate with customers about wait times or manage the influx of people at a busy restaurant close to a holiday weekend.
This was a truly awful experience, I have been to several first watch locations, including this one, and have never had such an unpleasant or unprofessional encounter as a customer. The food was excellent as always, but this experience definitely ruined the birthday brunch we...
Read moreThis is THE WORST breakfast experience I have had. As soon as we walked to the host stand, we weren’t greeted. The host was extremely dry and not welcoming. My girlfriend and I got sat and we didn’t get greeted with our server for about 20 minutes. Our server her name was Diana wasn’t attentive whatsoever. It was our first time at first watch so we didn’t know what to expect with the dishes and she just asked “what can I get you?” Without a “hello welcome to first watch is this your first time” or anything of that nature. We gave our order and we asked for water 3x and we didn’t even get water. We ordered a side of potatoes, the BLT eggs Benedict, chocolate chip pancakes, the million dollar bacon and a side of buttery grits. The grits were extremely dry and had no flavor whatsoever. Had the consistency of mashed potatoes. The food was cold and it took 15 minutes for everything to come out. Which isn’t a long time but for it to come out cold, let me know that everything was sandbagged and not made fresh. My girlfriend got the eggs Benedict with brown avocado on it, eggs over cooked, burnt English muffin. Bacon had good flavor but again was cold. My girlfriend is a chef and knows how eggs Benedict is supposed to be made. We complained to our server and she didn’t even offer for a manager to come by to fix the issue or get a new dish. She didn’t really care for the service she was providing. Not even a “I’m so sorry this happened is there anything I can do for you.” I will never be eating at a First Watch ever again. You can get better breakfast and service at an IHOP than at first watch. Extremely disappointed with the service, the quality of the food and management. The most horrific experience I have had for breakfast and a restaurant in general. Do not eat at this...
