KIMBOP — Restaurant in Kendall

Wow!!! This place is a hidden gem in the heart of Kendall. I’ve been dying to try Bibimbap and went on a search for it on here, and with this being one of the top rated places for authentic Korean food, I had to come and try it for myself. I absolutely loved the ambiance, it’s like you open the door and step foot in Korea. They have super cute neon signs, but the best part is that there’s art pieces all throughout the restaurant of the owner’s brother’s art! Stepping in here felt so cozy and nice, it’s just a feeling of eating at home, with family.

We ordered the Korean Mandu to start with, these are crispy dumplings with mixed filling and they were extremely tasty! For the main course we did the Bibimbap and Galbi meal and this could not have been more perfect. The key here is to MIX EVERYTHING! Trust me. This is a must order item and absolutely delicious. The meat is mouthwatering, the flavors are just right, it was everything I expected it to be.

We got here a little late so didn’t get to order dessert, but they gave us their complimentary Korean coffee with cream, and it reminded me of if a cafe con leche and a hot chocolate had a baby! Try it and you’ll see what I mean.

Lastly, the service was amazing. Chef Uri ensured we enjoyed our meal and checked on us a couple of times. You can’t get this level of service anywhere in Miami.

I will definitely be back, but with more people, and with an emptier...

I ordered several items to be delivered to have for lunch. Not everything that I ordered was delivered. I called the restaurant to let them know and spoke to the owner who informed me that there's nothing she can do that I need to complain to doordash even though it was her staff's mistake that I did not receive all of my items that I paid for. I told her that I didn't care about the money but just like the items delivered to me that I didn't receive and she said because I ordered through doordash and not her restaurant website she would not do it even though she could see that I was a repeat customer in her system. Very bad customer service I told her she should be ashamed of herself as the owner. The food that I did receive was just ok this time except the bean sprouts were good.

Just to add to your review of my review the owner checked with the kitchen it was their fault. I also did not get a full refund from Uber eats. And yes in the past the food has been good so I will give you that but as far as the owner being Korean that has nothing to do with it. After months of wanting to try this restaurant and holding back from ordering from UberEats because i wanted to try this place I came in on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was completely empty aside from a table of 2. The server Nicholas greeted me and i said its 2 adults eating but we had a baby in a stroller. The restaurant is tiny so he wanted us to sit in a cramped space in the middle of the restaurant, i politely asked if we can sit in the last table so we can put the stroller against the wall and like that we wouldnt be in the way of people walking by. Nicholas stated no because thats a table for 4 and in case a party of 4 comes in they can sit them there. This didnt make sense to me because the restaurant was EMPTY. I asked for the manager and the owner Andrew came out and apologized. I told him i was really upset as Nicholas made me feel that my baby was an inconvenience but he didnt really provide me with a solution.
