I'm not a fan of Asian food. However, my wife and I decided to try Siam Bistro as she was craving Pad Thai. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a big smile and a very courteous attitude. Although the place it self wasn't impressive the atmosphere was of a family run home style restaurant. The menu is vast, so I debated what to try. On the other hand my wife went for the sure shot Pad Thai. After a while I decided to give the Crispy Duck a go. After all I like duck and I have eaten it in various versions in many places domestically and internationally. The portion was larger than I expected, not a fancy presentation, but at the end of the day, flavor and proper doneness is what I was most concerned with. All I can say is "WOW"..!!!! It was perfectly cooked, moist on the inside and a beautifully crispy skin, flavors between the five spices, garlic, pineapple, baby corn, green peas, cashews, water chestnuts and other ingredients, as well as the finishing sauce they pour upon serving was balanced and just made you feel that you can't stop eating it!!. My only concern was that it was going to run out eventually đ. The flavors and consistency just melted in the mouth. AMAZING.. đ It is amongst the pricier items on the menu (25.00). But well worth it. Try it and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. On the other hand, the Pad Thai was also good and tasty. But I wouldn't be able to give a proper review as it is not something I would normally eat. Service was on point, on time and had an overall feeling that they care about the patrons. Unusual for Miami, sorry to say. They have an array of selections, maybe I'll try PhĂČ next time as I have tried some of the best in Anaheim, CA. By the way, adding just a sprinkle of Thai hot sauce to it, takes it to another level. Not fancy, not flashy, not expensive. Just a good place to enjoy the beauty of...
Read moreAs a Postmates driver, I would greatly recommend ignoring orders from this place. I didnât appreciate having to wait for the restaurant to prepare my customerâs order, despite it already being in the system. I definitely didnât appreciate the customer service I received either. I understand people are worried about COVID-19 as of the time of writing this. Itâs okay to be anxious and on guard, but please be aware that at the end of the day, your customers are human beings!! Donât rush people into leaving your restaurant and then cower and hide because I want to check the order, but youâre too busy shoving it into my Postmates bag. It was extremely rude and unprofessional, only fueling my frustration with this establishment.
And then, on top of all that, when the food finally made it to the home it was meant to go to, all the hot food was an ugly duck soup disaster in a plastic white bag, because the person packing the order thought he was so smart stuffing as many containers as possible into one bag, not even checking to see if theyâre able to hold weight on their own. I have never been more embarrassed about being a Postmates driver in my life.
Overall, I had a terrible delivery experience. Please if you are ever craving these peopleâs food, youâre better off coming and picking it up yourself. Postmates drivers, please...
Read moreI'm so mad at myself for not knowing this place before till today! On the search for good pho this month for my blog when Siam Bistro popped up. They are advertised as offering Thai/Vietnamese cuisine but I feel (I'm of Thai nationality) that most of their menu items are Thai. My boyfriend and I went in to try out their lunch menu which offers pretty phenomenal options. There are traditional Thai dishes, noodles, duck, fish, curries, and noodle soups.
My boyfriend got a Cashew Pork $8.25 which also came with a cup of light soup and a fried spring roll. I went with the Beef Pho $10.95. My boyfriend loved his meal and even said that next time he'd pay the extra to get the squid since the sauce was so tasty. My pho was massive and came out already with the traditional garnishes in it which I didn't mind. This pho is the closest to what my mom makes at home that I have discovered yet! They also have the thai pepper/sauces that I'm accustomed to which made my whole meal very like home to me.
I can't wait to come back and discover more entrees that I'm sure I'll love here. The lunch menu is a must though since it's so affordable!
