Sushi Maki - Kendall — Restaurant in Kendall

I ordered by phone 2 chicken Ramens and gyoza. I specifically asked that they remember to include the eggs that come with the order since last time I ordered it the eggs were not included in either order. I picked up order and drove home. When we opened the bags no eggs were included. I called to advise that even though it was 8 pm I would drive back to retrieve the eggs. That took forever because they claim the eggs kept coming out runny. The server apologized profusely and said they gave new people in the kitchen and they have been making a lot of mistakes lately. Which of course did not make me feel better. Also, there was only 1 table occupied at the restaurant so not sure why I had to wait so long passed my pick up time. I did see the 2 young men in the kitchen talking and laughing a lot. This is very frustrating as I consider myself a good customer but this is twice that they got the order wrong. I didnt ask for anything special just how the ramen comes and they couldn’t get it right. Very frustrating sand with the amount of Sushi restaurants in this area you would think they would take better care of their customers. Had a hankering for some sushi and Sushi Maki was recommended. It's very much like diner cooking ~ food for a reasonable price, but not exceptionally flavorful. The spicy tuna was certainly spicy, but had way too much vinegar, to the point of distraction. I ordered the fried rice based on this exact description from the menu "Fluffy rice, soy sauce, scallions, egg, bean sprouts, edamame beans & onions with your choice of meats". Well, that sounds great, right? Well, it had those gross frozen peas and carrots, the meat was dry and where was the edamame and egg? MIA. The flavor would have been good otherwise. The Teryaki Chicken was plentiful and somewhat tasty, but there were only a few pieces of vegetable. The "Beast" (Bbq eel, avocado, asparagus & crab) was much better. The service was fairly efficient but nothing special. The atmosphere was a little harsh but clean. I've been to another Sushi Maki location in South Miami where I came away with much the same opinion. Well the worst ever ever restaurant that I have ever gone here in Miami. Let's start with the cook and another cook and a server talking so loud in the kitchen, open kitchen, and gossiping about god kwnos what , Annoying, then the food , spring rools with a spice sauce that my tong got blisters. What happened with the Eel sauce. Then the Asian bowl. . Omg the most expensive bowl of rice that I have ever paid in my life. Let's see , brown rice with two non crispy tempura shrimp. Reheated or just warm under the lights , then mango pieces of the size of yellow corn, I though it was corn , and topped with some, some angel hair that tasted bland and fishy. And the portion, not even half of the bowl. One size only.
