This is a highly positive review, with a small suggestion for improvement. If you read my reviews, you know I say it like it is.
Saturday, 05Apr25, at 908 pm, I brought my 84 year old mother, and my 18 year old 'eating machine' High Scool senior wrestler, who eats like horse all day long, into Spice Wings Kennesaw for a very late dinner.
I have been following this location before they opened and I will say they get a score of 9.5 on a 5-point scale, here is why they are not a 10.
When we came in, the lady at the counter, and the young lady who took our order was cold towards us, not welcoming at all, to the point my mother wanted to go elsewhere. I kept a positive attitude and tried to draw the young lady out to interact with us positively, but I failed. She was not rude, but she did not speak up or welcome us as 'first time' Customers, even as we were trying to make our purchase and openly discussing what we were looking to order.
Hey, I get people have a bad day, happens to all of us, I hope our next interaction with Anahja P will be a better one, and I feel positive it will be.
Bad stuff is over, moving on!
Looking at the menu was difficult!! Sooo much goodness to select from! Like 15 different spices, or nakedness wings, bone-in, boneless, onion rings (OMG! GOTTA GET THOSE!), And fries 5 different ways?! HEAVENNN!
So I order the 50 bone-in wing BigBox, with fries, onion rings (did i tell you how good those are yet?!) and drinks.
We ordered Mango Habanero (HOTT), Hot, Garlic Parmesean, and Lemon Pepper. The Mango Habanero were HOTT, my HS wrestler had all but 1, which i ate and called the fire department after I ate it.
The Hot was low level and allowed for the flavor to be experienced nicely.
The Garlic Parmesean was good, and I would get those again.
The Lemon Pepper wings were great and would be my personal go-to sauces.
I will try the naked wings next time, yes, there WILL be a next time.
The fries were coated with the Garlic Parmesean sauce and were really good.
The Onion Rings were the BEST of the whole meal and they can be a great option (for me) as the next main course.
We were served by the owner, Bobby, who had greeted us earlier while we were awaiting our order to be cooked. We ate in the restaurant and found it to be comfortable, without all of the crazy nick-nack junk to clutter up the counters or the tables.
We have ordered wings from Olde Town on 41 and Kennesaw Due West/Goodwill Plaza a couple of times, they have good wings, but Spice Wings has the same size and quality as Olde Town, however we all prefer Spice Wings over Olde Town, it is an easy choice!
It was nice to meet the owner, to see a hard working local small business owner in the shop, interacting with every guest, like the way it should be.
We will be back, and we will support this business as it has good quality food and is a nice place to relax with friends or family to get some really great food!
Thank you Bobby for your kindness and small talk, it was great getting to know a little...
Read moreI’m extremely disappointed with my recent visit to SpiceWing and feel obligated to share this experience for the sake of other customers.
My daughter and I were eating lunch when, in the middle of our meal, a large roach crawled across our table, right next to our food. It was beyond unsettling — we were still eating when this happened, which completely ruined the entire experience. I questioned the restaurant’s cleanliness from the looks of the bathroom and definitely regretted it immediately.
Seeing a roach in a restaurant is bad enough, but having one crawling on the table as you’re eating raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and pest control measures in place. It made me question the overall sanitation of the kitchen and dining area.
We immediately stopped eating, lost our appetite, and left. I truly hope management takes this seriously and addresses the issue because no one should have to experience that, especially when dining out with their child.
Sadly, I won’t be returning, and I urge others to be cautious until...
Read moreBest wings from a restaurant! I usually do not get wings out because they are usually small and under or overcooked but these wings are amazing. Seasoning options are delicious. I prefer the dry rub ranch or plain which should tell you the wings are fire without any sauce! Comes with two sauce packs at no extra cost plus 10 wings gets you tossed in two flavors of your choice.. And not to mention the fries. 4 different style options with special seasoning. I get the waffle fries with garlic and lemon pepper seasoning which was recommended from the owner. Delicious! Owner is super friendly and helpful as well. I am definitely a repeat customer. Highly...
