Normally I don't post a review of a bad experience. Cause life happens we all have bad days. But when I have something cater and it is not to standards- I voiced my concerns- the owner called me rude and insensitive. I didn't use vulgar language told her I was embarrassed to serve to my guests the dip was dated 11/14 the 4 quiche were COLD with note bake 350 for 10 min before serving. She tried telling me the quiche was warm I have 25 guests who will vouch differently also told me she made the dip yesterday herself. We paid $164 she said she gave me a break - 2 Mac n cheese, 4 quiche we couldn't touch cause who eats quiche cold?, dip made on the 14th, and her reply she threw in 2 things of drinks which she said would be lemonade we got that, the other was sweet tea- the guests were young ladies they sent unsweet tea- that's an easy mistake to make- so not really a complaint... Because of doing the right thing apologizing and making it right she "named" called a customer we will never do business again with The Rotessorie- sad! And if I could give her negative stars right now I would. Every site I made 2 posts today Yelp and Google. I normally don't but this dealing got the best of me - they replied on Yelp not very professional but ok. Just so everybody knows it is not my norm to complain I did give the cake company a great review :) I had pictures they saud clearly mislabeled on a review never emailed me and I gave enough time before I posted to let them, make it right. They said my husband was over a hour late he couldn't of been agreed time was 1:00 my husband had the food to me before 2:00....how is that i Over a hour late? It is ok life happens if they had been professional and apologized I wouldn't of wrote a review on 2 sites they said every site in response on Yelp. Also basically called somebody else who may have lower costs low quality catering....i honestly used to rave about this place ...but to me the rudeness of this merchant will never allow me to walk through their doors again. And until I posted the picture on Yelp tbey had nothing to say but when I posted it publicly they replied and not very professional either. Family businesses should be built on foundation of morals...
Read moreThis restaurant was suggested and it was a pleasant surprise. A few reviewers commented on the exuberant prices for a while chicken, and they're correct, but I was there for a lunch meal and those prices were very reasonable.
Two of us dined and my lunch date ordered the chicken salad sandwich with the side of chicken soup and I opted for their pulled pork plate & mac-n-cheese.
My meal was outstanding. The BBQ wasn't shredded, rather chunks of tender pork, and wasn't overly spiced or cooked in liquid smoke. It was tasty and the pork pulled apart with ease. Their BBQ sauce has a great flavor and I mixed mine with their ranch dressing, a great combination you should try. The mac-n-cheese was was also delicious and gets high marks.
The chicken salad sandwich looked incredible but my date noticed what looked like a bone sticking out of the sandwich. In fact, there were 2. We were told by our waiter that he was shocked as the sandwiches are hand made and can't see how they missed 2 larger sized bones. This chicken soup was good, large chunks of chicken, but soup is soup to me.
The service was good and place is clean. I did catch the excessively high prices for their rotisserie chickens. I shop at Costco and get awesome rotisserie chickens for $6 so it's not an issue for me. My pork lunch plate with one side was $7 and the other meal was $9. Again, very reasonable.
My one issue was when we notified our waiter about the bones, and displayed them. I assumed we wouldn't be charged for the sandwich, I was wrong. I could have raised this issue but didn't. Even with the bones misstep, I recommend this restaurant but lowered my rating to 4 stars. If you bring your kids, I highly discourage they get the chicken salad sandwich for fear of chocking on...
Read moreI give this place an easy four star based on the customer service, the food actually brought it down fron a 4.5 star rating.
The staff were excellent, very friendly and with no complaints steamed broccoli for me instead of cooking with oil....very excellent customer service. Where has this mentality went in mist restaurants?
The rotisserie chicken was good. A little salty and greasy for me but definitely better than anything you'll get from fast foid or grocery store. Overall I'd return for the chicken.
The steamed broccoli was excellent. Finally a chef who know that steamed veggies should still have a slight crunch and not be falling apart and soggy. Ironically a very slight dusting of salt would have been wonderful but I didn't add due to the over saltiness of the remainder of the food.
The mashed potatoes were above average and had a great taste and actually weren't over salted. I recommend the potatoes.
Finally the collard greens. As you take the first taste they have excellent flavor as described by the waiter; however, immediately following that first flavor you will be overwhelmed by the sea of salt and they are just uneatable. A shame.
I just do not understand the salt obsession in America, salt is best used to flavor the dish after it is prepared, not during the food preparation. I guess most of us are just immune to salt due to all the processed food we eat.
Overall I'll have to recommend this restaurant and let you decide for...
