Food: My husband and I ordered a medium(13") pizza with standard red sauce, and Pepperoni on one half, Eggplant on the other. The crust was very light and was crisp right down to the very point of each slice, it also reheated very well the next day. The sauce was a HUGE standout! It was so good! It was a rustic marinara, there were onions and garlic to spare, and it had a nice acidity to it that commercial red pizza sauces sometimes lose. The cheese was actually also a standout! Usually pizza places use a preshredded mozz blend that is full of cellulose to keep it separated, and you can see, taste and feel that. This was definitely a cheese that was either a much fresher, higher quality blend, or had been shredded in house. It was great. The toppings were a mild weak point, in that there just weren't quite as much of them as I'd prefer. Something to work on. And I wasn't a huge fan of the brand of breaded eggplant they used, but I know I'm weird for getting eggplant on pizza anyway. All in all a great pizza, we enjoyed it immensely, and it was very affordable at $11.
Service: The staff were friendly, and the owner came out and greeted us and asked about our food. very pleasant!
Atmosphere: This place is a nice little pizza joint, clean, well lit, quiet, nothing crazy but honestly, I really like that, so many pizza joints in Kennesaw (And food places in general) have become very gimmicky to try and keep up with the hipster crowd and this place walks a nice fine line, a cute little vintage gaming motif on the wall and a matching old Pacman arcade game, without them needing to try and be yet another arcade bar.
Loved this place, very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKennesaw is truly full of hidden gems. While on a quick errand to drop off a package at the UPS store, I stumbled upon a brand-new pizza spot that caught my eyeāSavage Pizza. Curious and hungry, I decided to stop in with my kids, and Iām so glad we did!
From the moment we walked in, the place had a welcoming vibe. The kids were instantly drawn to the retro arcade games, especially Pac-Man and Mortal Kombat. Watching them get so excited over the same games I grew up playing was incredibly nostalgic. It added a special touch to the whole experience, making it not just about the food, but also about creating fun memories together.
Now, letās talk about the pizza. We ordered a few different options, but the star of the show was definitely the Southern Cue *thank you for making that one special hehe. One bite, and I was blown away. The blend of flavors was simply amazingādefinitely a 10/10! The crust was perfectly crisp, the toppings were fresh, and the barbecue sauce had just the right amount of tang and sweetness. It's one of those pizzas that leaves a lasting impression, making you crave another slice even after you're full.
We also tried the chicken Caesar salad, which was quite good. I prefer my dressing on the side, which is a small preference, but otherwise, it was fresh and satisfying. Overall, Savage Pizza exceeded my expectations. If youāre in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Itās the perfect spot to enjoy delicious pizza and a bit of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTried this place the other day. Theyāve been in Atlanta for a while, so I figure they had to be good. Well, it was just okay. We started off with their garlic bread because they do not have cheese bread. Itās just basic bread with no garlic flavor whatsoever. Next came time for the pizza. It was a large pizza and for as much as I paid for toppings on a large, they were lacking on that aspect. Most slices had two pieces of pepperoni and a couple were fortunate enough to get 3-3 1/2 pepperoniās. Their plain old sauce is just tomatoes with no seasonings. It was some sweet and bland sauce. I will say, all the food came out super hot! I had to continually go up to the register to ask for things like plates(did not bring any with the food), sweetener for tea, to go cups and even the box. We went during a lull between lunch and dinner, so they werenāt busy. The atmosphere is pretty cool. I know itās new, so it could use more decor and it only has 3 arcade games(wish there were more). The manager did come around to ask how we liked our food and went around cleaning tables as soon as guests left. Will it become our weekly pizza hangout? No, there are better pizzas around this area. Will we be back...
