Never being a mushroom lover, honestly disliking them profusely throughout my childhood, I can’t believe I’m writing this. It was about 12 years ago while on an appraisal inspection in Kennett Square with one of my associates, Pat M, we drove right through the mushroom festival. When in Rome… always live by that. Had my first Porto Bella burger. Then after that I started getting into mushroom creamed soup. I still do not love mushrooms, but I love that soup and I love a well done portobello dish. Here I find myself again nearby and intentionally looked for a mushroom delight. With many choices in the area, the Liberty Market attracted me because of the various options of food that they offer. I also cannot lie and say I did not go to the Smashburger stand first. With the young fellow who I believe was supposed to be working there off somewhere, they lost the business. Venturing over to Mary Pats provisions, I had found my home. Any place with all day breakfast immediately pulls upon my heartstring, or my stomach string. Was happy to see that they had the egg sandwich with the mushroom and goat cheese, one of my favorite cheeses. Being a typical American, I ordered the sandwich along with a smoothie acai bowl. This was really fantastic. It had just the right amount of smoothie, and just the right amount of toppings which included bananas., peanut butter, coconut, granola, almonds, and blueberries. Really only needed that bowl. It was filling and delicious. Moving on I ate some of the egg sandwich. The sandwich was clearly a work of art. The eggs were cooked and then folded into a square, and the Portabella and goat cheese were cooked into eggs like an omelette. The truffle aioli was slathered onto the Brioche roll. I’m going to give the sandwich a rating of 9 out of 10 if you are a mushroom lover. I am going to give it a 6 out of a 10 for myself because I don’t love mushrooms or brioche in general and the aioli was too potent. Again, it’s clearly an amazing sandwich for someone who likes those things. Staff were welcoming, friendly and full of energy. Looking forward to next time and visiting for when the venue has their weekend weekend live...
Read moreLet me just start with words can not describe how amazing their food is! We enjoyed breakfast with a family of five, 3 young children, found seating easily. There were so many delicious choices we couldn't decide so we ordered alot ! We ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches, the bagels were so soft that they practically melted in you mouth like they had made the bread mins before we walked in, my son's sandwich was on a crossiant I wish I would had gotten a taste but my 8 year old devoured the whole sandwich before I could! We got an order of the French toast with mixed berries, I mean just wow the fruit was fresh and delicious. Yet again the bread was just out of this world. Next the avocado toast...... hands down the best savory salty explosion that I'm afraid I might never order any where else because it will not compare. Then to finish it off a smoothie bowl, it's everything anyone could want and more! I wish we lived closer, but this will definitely be added to our holiday...
Read moreLOVE Mary Pat’s, my absolute favorite when visiting my brother, who lives in Kennett Square. He’s walking distance to MaryPat’s, lucky guy! Love everything about it, the best staff, hi Brooklyn! ;), so friendly, welcoming and happy to serve and take care of their customers. I visit daily when I’m in town, starting my day with a delicious breakfast sandwich, can’t go wrong with the caramelized bacon sandwich and the kielbasa sandwich is a winner! My favorite salad is the kale and quinoa, so good, full of flavor and generous serving size. Ordered to go on my last day and Brooklyn even wrote a sweet note on my to go container, above and beyond customer service. And don’t miss the cookies, the Chai cinnamon was outstanding! My brother is now a Mary Pat’s regular too! Can’t wait to go back! You guys...
