D & R's Family Dining — Restaurant in Kennett

I’ve been here before some years ago and the waitressing was so god awful and the service was so slow I hadn’t been back since 2019. I thought I’d give it another chance, and I wish I didn’t. I ordered butterfly shrimp. Instead of communicating with the waitress that they were out, they just gave me popcorn shrimp. I was charged $10 for these nickel sized pieces of shrimp, didn’t get the hush puppies that are supposed to come with the order. Not to mention they tried to charge me 2.50 for a water (which was remedied when brought to the cashier’s attention.) overall the meal for my boyfriend, son, and I was $41 which at John’s I could’ve gotten more and paid half the price. The waitress was sweet. Kitchen staff needs to do better with communicating to waitresses when certain meal items are not available instead of just choosing for the customer. Food is overpriced and I don’t ever plan on ever going back...
