Skippers Seafood 'n Chowder — Restaurant in Kennewick

So disappointed when I was growing up we had a Skipper's right here in Pasco Washington where I lived and it was always excellent always busy and always always had everything ready in just great about service and everything but unfortunately Skippers is not in Pasco Washington anymore hasn't been here for several years they still have one left in Kennewick Washington and I went there for the very first time today in after several several years and I was so looking forward to it and the two people that were working we're very unfriendly I hadn't been there in years so I had no idea what their menu was I was asking them how many pieces of fish do you get in this meal and how many and he kept tell me hold on hold on I'll be right back and it was really hard to order and then it was really hard to find out what you get with that order and then when I asked for the little containers to put the tartar sauce and ketchup and stuff in because I was taking it to go boy they did not want to give them a big gave me some little tiny ones when I told them can I please have the bigger ones and boy how many do you need I mean what would she was asking me what are you going to put in them what do you think I mean awful awful awful service. And then the coleslaw that came with the meal do you know how little tiny it was like two teaspoons a coleslaw in the container that they give you come on now you know I know Skippers prices of went up in the years but you really have to give maybe 2 teaspoons of coleslaw with the damn meal? This definitely was nothing at all like it used to be Skippers was always always family place for everybody would that place is always full boy not no more and they don't even have the bottles of vinegar out anymore they used to always have them out where you get the tartar sauce and ketchup and stuff man they are stingy with their condiments. The Skippers that I went to today in Kennewick Washington off of Kennewick Avenue was a major disappointment hopefully hopefully hopefully it was just the two individuals that were working up there hopefully it's better than what I experienced today. And the coleslaw is very Bland he used to taste so much better than that . I cannot believe how much their meals have went up and prices and what I got was not even nothing to even speak about boy disappointed disappointed...

This restaurant has gone so far downhill in the past 10 years it's disgusting! I absolutely LOVE skippers cod and the chowder but I literally HATE going in there and ordering or calling on the phone to order because the employees are so rude, unhelpful, and they make it very obvious they HATE their job and working there so they could care less about the customer or food quality! ALSO *Since when can a restaurant just RANDOMLY CLOSE whenever they want???? I have never seen a restaurant that picks and chooses when they close for business for the evening but THEY DO!!! Currently as I'm writing thus review it is a Saturday evening at 6:30pm (when I called to CHECK if they were open or not) and NOPE! They're already closed (just like every other day of the week) way before the posted "closing time".I wish someone would buy this business from these current owners, get rid of ALL the employees and replace with employees that actually are kind, helpful, NICE TO PEOPLE and want to work! MAYBE THEN us (the public customers) could look forward to a meal from a long time Kennewick restaurant that used to be so great! Food quality has also gone down to the point the ONLY thing I will order that's not tasteless, soggy, or gross is the cod filets and chowder (even though they usually don't have any towards the evening because they won't make enough earlier in the day so they run out fast). Three of us went in at 8:15 pm on Sunday 9-6-15 We stood at the register for about 3 minutes, before the cashier came up to us. She was not friendly at all. No hello no smile but PLEANTY OF DISCUSTED ATTITUDE. I tried to order the special, but was refused! She said (as she rolled her eyes) that ends at a certain time. I asked "What time is that? " She had to look at the clock "UUUUMMMMM now" Oh so your special ended at 815? Not 8 or 830 but 815? Yes she says Cuz it doesn't say that on the sign it says Sunday special. If that's the case ok... just post that or take the special down. But the REAL ISSUE was that they were trying to get out of there as soon as they closed. Because we had just received our food and the same lady started putting the chairs on the tables. mind you its only 835 now...still 25 min until close AS SHE IS MAKING US FEEL AS THOUGH WE ARE NO LONGER WELCOME. OH WAIT WE NEVER WERE WELCOMED. Being A General Manager of multiple restaurants for many years i was quite upset that we as customers were treated with such rudeness and disrespect.
