Subway — Restaurant in Kennewick

My first Subway experience. It was suspect. Reason being they have a "shield" covering the meats. A shield so we cannot see the meats. WHY? I may have not eaten at Subway but my husband loves it so I have been into many of their restaurants in our home state as well as other states while visiting. Never have I seen the meat selection area hidden which makes me not trust this place. I skipped trying a sandwich. So I ordered a pretzel. It was horrendously dry as dirt. Tasted burnt while it didn't look burnt. And as hard as a rock. Tasteless. Literally just gave this Subway free money since the pretzel had to be trashed. But the place "looked" clean. Although I did not sit down or look around. There was only one employee so there was a long wait as she was doing everything herself. She was friendly even tho surely feeling rushed. The woman with the tattoo on her neck working today 6/7/21 at approx 2:50pm was extremely rude! Whoever owns this location needs to check this employee if you don't want people to start leaving just 1-star reviews. She doesn't greet you, just starts with "what do you want". Then she over-toasted my sub, blaming it on the oven when she just wasn't paying attention. The customer behind me was bilingual which irritated the cashier as she repeatedly sighed loudly and rolled her eyes as the woman tried to communicate. Throws your sandwich in a bag then practically throws your change at you. When 2 other women came in she again rolled her eyes at the thought of having to dish out more of her "excellent"...

Shane has the best customer service and works so hard! I have seen him slammed and he never gets rattled keeps calm! .. keeps the place clean! All employees here are wonderful Tuna sandwich was perfect made by a very a very friendly employee! Veggies were very fresh!
