Well, after moving from Milwaukee, I decided that it was "ok" to try Toppers again. I needed a mess of "cheap" pizza for an event, and while I had been disappointed by Toppers before, I decided to give this location a shot.

That was a mistake.

I called in an order for 4 pizzas close to 2 hours ahead of time on a Saturday afternoon. When I got there to pick them up, they were not ready, nor had the really been started. I ended up having to wait about 20 min. for the order (not bad), but it did mean I got to my event late.

While we were waiting, a number of other customers came in to pick up orders they had placed, only to be told the same thing that I had.

There was no real apology offered to any of us, save for the one young man who was working the counter and clearly overwhelmed.

Mind you, I'm not angry at these guys. They clearly had a busy day and couldn't get out from under it. It does speak to a pattern that I've seen at Topper's locations, however, and pretty much means I won't be giving them my business any longer.

Luckily, there are some really get local pizza options in Kenosha available.

We make sure that we include a good tip every time we place an online order. We'll only be doing carry out after our last delivery on 02/25/24. The driver showed up at the time specified. However, the drivers personal conversation he was having w/his head set was so important that he couldn't walk all the way to my door, to complete the delivery. I had to come out to meet him near his vehicle. Nor could the driver even put his cell phone away to hand me my food. When you take flat things and pull them out at a 45 degree angle, they will slide to one side. That may be why all 3 of the item's that were ordered, look like the picture I included. Everything ended up in a clump on one side of the box. He did stop his conversation long enough to shout "Thank you for the tip" while getting back into his vehicle.
