S Level Tea — Restaurant in Kent

1.0 star rating 4/17/2020 I placed an order for bubble tea and takoyaki through ubereats. The order got placed twice accidentally within seconds of each other. Both orders were accepted immediately so I could not cancel on the website. When I realized what happened, I first tried calling ubereats (their customer service number is down due to Covid) and I called the driver. I was rushing to cancel that second order and the driver told me he would contact the restaurant to cancel that second order.

Unfortunately, the store decided to make those orders anyways, without wondering why someone would place two identical orders going to the same house. This is where the restaurant and driver decided to get greedy and make some money off me. The driver had no incentive to cancel because he would get two nice tips. The restaurant made some extra money by filling the extra identical order, but rushed to fill the order by making clumsy mistakes.

In their rush to fill the order, they had flimsily packaged my takoyaki balls and all the heat escaped. The plastic bag was very loosely tied so there was a large hole in the top. The bubble tea was next to the takoyaki, so they were heating and cooling each other off. This resulted in some cold takoyaki balls and some melted bubble tea.

This is my first time ordering from s level tea and I won't be going back. They have no common sense and come out looking greedy when they take advantage of customers. Give your customers a call if something looks odd. If you get multiple of the same order, verify it wasn't an error before rushing to fill it. I understand times are tough for restaurants right now, but I also don't like being ripped off at the same time. I ended up tossing the food in the trash because it just didn't taste good.

The tea was weak and was not cold. It was very watery due to the melted ice and there were very few tapioca balls. The takoyaki balls were cold and I could barely taste any octopus. They really skimped on the ingredients, I think I got one small piece of octopus per ball for the ones I did eat. The takoyaki was mostly dough and had very little flavor.

I feel like I got scammed and all I got in return were cold Takoyaki balls and...

This place is perfect if your looking for somewhere cute to take social media photos. Very cute inside. No line around lunch time. No one eating inside. Ordered a strawberry fruit tea and a steak banh Mi. Bit of a wait but not too long. As I waited I watched several people come in and grab their online orders. Nice to know they did have customers I was worried for a little bit. Got my food and drove back to work. The breakdown….. My strawberry fruit tea was really strong. It overpowered the strawberry. Didn’t like it too much. My steak banh Mi was different than a usual banh Mi and I was excited. The veggies were fresh and crunchy. The bread was the usual rice bread but underneath that cucumber was a nice little surprise. The steak was grilled with a sauce and grilled onions. The cuts of steak were too thick to be on a sandwich and hard to chew through, the sauce was sweet and it had a little heat at the end. I’ve never tasted anything like it before and couldn’t tell ya if I liked it or loved it. Grilled onions really made the sandwich. I liked the sandwich and even though a banh Mi is hard to eat with the bread crumbling up the thickness of the meat and sauce made the sandwich messy. I’d rather of had the meat with some rice or something. It was good but not the best I’ve ever had. I’m not sure if I’ll be back to try something else or not. I’ll update...

Basil popcorn chicken was served hot and in a to-go box even when we stated we were eating in. The outside was crispy, but the chicken was a little too dry for my taste. I would say the flavor is good, but doesn't stand out from other places where I've tried this

Spicy crab meat tater tots were also served in a to-go box but they were so yummy! They top off the tots with a great portion of imitation crab meat and lots of spicy mayo! I was a little hesitant about this combo of flavors, but I would love to order this again!

Grilled pork vermicelli was served in a bowl and definitely a meal in itself. It was decent.

We ordered the Earl grey milk tea here and I was very pleased with the flavor! We ordered with regular sweetness and they didn't make it too sweet! It doesn't feel like I need to scrub my tongue afterwards.

Service was great and the facility was clean. I'd go here if my meal for the day would consist of a heavy snack with a side of tea. Try...
