Hank & Sylvie's — Restaurant in Ketchum

A year ago tomorrow Hank and Sylvie’s let a child down on their birthday. I went to pick up my child’s cake and it wasn’t there. Two hours before the party. We drove in from out of town assured it would be there. Upon pick up time, nothing. Broken hearts and tears. No real reason was given, besides not paid for. INCORRECT. I paid two weeks in advance. I asked for the order slip and it all said, “PAID.” Unfortunately, bad business practice also came up. My CC information was written down on the order form, just hanging out for whoever works there to see. So, as the stressed customer service person panicked and called for more information about the order from whoever, they were clearly given a bs excuse and lying about not being paid. Their cheeks were red during and after the call. I feel so sorry for them to deliver bad news that had nothing to do with them. They still had the CC information there to charge if they were worried about it. It has taken me a year to review. I can’t be nice about it. A complete jerk move. No one called about issues of payment. I did call to make sure all was in order for pick up prior to arrival . Disappointed and disgusted. 🤮...

Dude Report: This place is great! before u even get down the stairs, its obvious that its going to be “doable”. Within the desired 20 paces from the store front there are 5 small tables with 2 chairs each. Some concern was immediate since 4 of the 5 tables were pink. that it is 8 out of 10 chairs in the “not happening zone”. But immediate relief was found to the right of the store front; 2 “not pink” tables with 3 chairs each!! This catapulted the overall rating from a solid 4 to an atmospheric 5!!! plenty of space for a busy Saturday of patiently waiting dudes. This gets the coveted “Dude Safe” stamp of approval! Well done Hank & Sylvie’s, well done.
