Firehouse Subs Kettering — Restaurant in Kettering

Great place to eat lunch been here a few times and it is always great food and great service. People on the other reviews probably Karen’s or something idk bro. This place is gas and everything tastes good. their soda machine thingy is also really cool. only complaint i have is it’s not that big of a place and they can’t even do anything about that. What a great place.

edit: 8 months ago i left a review and i’ve had splendid meal everytime, they’ve even upgraded their drink think and i can prank the people i’m at the restaurant with, below is how to do the prank

ight so since im an alpha im the ultimate sigma prankster and there is a qr code next to the electronic soda fountain what you wanna do is scan it don’t let the prankee see it and then when they are about to get their drink just go on your phone and you can control the fountain from there and it’s pretty funny ngl i got my sister and my grandma

anyway so i had firehouse again today i ordered it tho and it was pretty buss i had the pepperoni pizza sandwich thing idk but it was good and i didn’t eat the pickle cause i don’t like pickles

oh yeah one tiny complaint is one of the times i went here it was kinda a long wait but there was like 3 employees and like 3 customers but apparently there were a lot of online ordered gotta be honest with all of my 3,000,000 fans cause you know i’m a level 7 local guide

Staff is poorly trained. Asked the manager (who seemed bothered to help us, and wasnt friendly) how the Mac and Cheese was. She looked at one of the cooks who looked stoned, and asked if he liked the Mac and Cheese. His response was "I don't like cheese".... Then we get our subs.. The meat was put on the wrong buns... My cheesesteak was sent out with the toppings that were supposed to be on my girlfriends sub... When we noticed, I took our subs back up to the counter to let them know. The cook just kinda looked at me and asked me what I wanted to do. Like I might want to take them the way they were, instead of offering to remake them. Seems like all the good employees left this location. Looked like there was one older gray-haired woman behind the counter that did more work than the manager and two cooks combined. As soon as the rush was over all the other employees disappeared to smoke or sit on the porch and play on their phones, and left the old lady to clean, restock everything, and check on...

I will echo others in saying that I frequently use this spot, but it has severely gone downhill with timing. Online orders always state a certain time and these guys bust it by 15-30 minutes. This last order was slated for a 35 minute wait, which seemed outrageous for sandwiches, then I got here and they had not even started my order. So 1 hour later...I finally got my order in hand and out the door! But this is the 4th time in a row that i am waiting. Again, echoing others...not sure if management has changed or what happened! It was never like this here before. The workers seemed very frustrated because there are only two of them working! Why not hire more folks if this place gets a ton of orders? Or hire a solid manager! I will probably skip this place for a while and hope it improves later...
