I have been here before and it was delicious but I am not one for reviews so didn't really think to post one until we went last night. It was a Monday evening and I live near Fuji so we decided to place an order for pick up since we were traveling back from Florida. We were exhausted and my niece wanted sushi so this was the obvious choice.
It was absolutely insane for a Monday night. Very very busy! Took a while to place my order (the phone line was busy each time I called) but they were kind and hot my order down. We went around the corner to grab a few things while we waited for our food. When I got back they informed me that they ran out of scallops for one of our orders and they replaced it with steak. Unfortunately this was not a good option for the persons order but I understood why they did it and they offered to upgrade it top any option. She chose lobster. They said it may be another 15-20 minutes (was already 35 minutes). I was frustrated, yes, but not at them. Everytime Jeremy, the server, and the hostess ( I really wish I could remember her name because she was so sweet) they were kind, understanding, and professional. They had my order out in less than 10 minutes after the re order.
We got home and took all the food out. They did forget our salads but at this point it did not matter. All food was hot, and the lobster tail that was the replacement for the scallops was perfect! We all really enjoyed our meals like we always do from there.
Places like this are going to get busy especially this time of year. They will deal with a lot of demanding people who will give them a very hard time. I saw it happen, but they handled it so well and did...
Read moreAwful experience! Walked in when the restaurant was EMPTY with my family. Was stared down by a hostess who inexplicably looked disgusted by my presence (I'm black for context). Still, against my better judgment went in because my children wanted chicken and rice. They proceeded to ignore us for almost twenty minutes. No water. No acknowledgement. No service. While they attentively tended to the other three customers in the place.
A staff of six people walked past us, refused to wait on us, and outright ignored us. My husband (kindly given the circumstances) asked if someone could help us, at which point one of the waiters agreed and then for another 6-8 minutes continued to walk past us. At the same time, another staff never walked over to the originally rude hostess and whispered about us and pointed at us and laughed. Seemed race based. Seemed absurd. Have owned property here for over twenty years but alas, times have changed and this place is leading the charge in insane conduct toward customers of color. Will never be back.
Small accumulated actions matter and will make known to all I can (not an insignificant number of folks btw) how horrid the treatment was. We said something on the way out and they blank stared us and laughed in our faces...
Read moreAbsolute worst experience I’ve had locally. To start, the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. After being seated, we were greeted by a rude and disengaging server. She did not make eye contact, was abrupt, and failed to engage with any questions about the menu. While she gabbed with the table adjacent to us, she allowed our drinks to go empty, slammed our plates on the table, and overall treated us as we were an inconvenience to her. A member of our party asked for no other veggies other than onions in his fried rice, and rather than holding the other vegetables and using the usual amount of onions, there were more onions than rice. The other dishes were not seasoned, cold, poor excuses of a hibachi meal. Additionally, we were celebrating a birthday at this dinner. Although our waitress knew the celebration, she did not wish our guest a happy birthday nor bring a birthday treat as promised. I do not post bad reviews often, only when it is absolutely necessary. I eat out often, and this tops the cake as one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Stay away from this overpriced, underwhelming, poor excuse of...
