I don't write one star reviews (I usually write 5 star reviews, you're welcome to see my other reivews) but this deserves it. We rode bikes to support the Kiawah Marathon runners and after returning the bikes saw an extra charge of $54. Upon calling them, they claimed we took the bikes to the beach - which we did not obviously.
It was raining and the marathon officials made bikers ride through the golf cart path (which had sand) for about 1/4 mile so the runners could stay on the road and apparently that qualifies as "you rode on the beach".
I tried to explain it to them over the phone but they didn't believe me saying "we've been doing this a long time, and you took it to the beach".
Bikes were ok for the price. Just don't be surprised if an extra charge is made on your card because they claim you've ridden...
Read morePurchased an expensive beach umbrella on our first day only to discover upon setup there was a hole in the nylon. Returned to store next day and was told they can't exchange and our only recourse is to work with manufacturer to have them repair the hole on our brand new $300 umbrella. Seems like there was nothing keeping them from selling defective merchandise so the customer is stuck dealing with the problem. They had plenty to exchange it with. Now we have to work with an umbrella with a hole for the rest of vacation. Wouldn't recommend shopping here if they can't stand behind...
Read moreThe bikes we received had under inflated tires that we discovered during a 20 mile ride the following day. It made for a very unpleasant experience. We had to take the bikes back to the store - since they don’t deliver- to have them pump up the tires. Despite acknowledging their mistake, the store refused to extend the rental by one hour (!) to compensate us for the lost time, unless we paid extra. There are other businesses in the area - both less expensive and will also deliver your bike to you. I will sure remember...
