I have been going there for years and have found the food and drinks consistently first rate. Even when the lines go out the door in the busiest seasons, everyone works fast, helping each other fulfill orders as quickly as possible. And in those busy seasons, there may be a short wait since everything is made to order in a tiny kitchen, (except those wonderful chocolates, cookies and other pastries!). Using only cold brew for their latte? No espresso?? I realize a resort location charges more, however, the quality of the product should reflect the price charged. If the food is great and the customer service is also, I have no issue with the price. Remedial customer service training needs to be implemented. The young adults didn't seem as if they wanted to be there, didn't want to be bothered by customers, and in return made us feel very unwelcome. Being a local, I expect much better. I would not return. I don't really want to have breakfast with Squidward or Oscar the grouch. I'd rather start my day with smiles...

The space is unique and a little cramped when busy, but offers plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for the crowd size. You can order breakfast dishes, pick from a selection of sweets behind the glass, and of course order from an assortment of coffees. With it being hot outside, I tried a frozen mocha latte, which was like a coffee milkshake and really good! I also had the savory croissant with egg, cheese, and pork sausage, which was delicious. Only small downside was the chocolate crunch bar we had wasn't the best, but still serviceable.
If price is a factor for you, it isn't cheap here, nor is it outrageous, especially when compared to other Kiawah Island...
