Indigo Books — Local services in Kiawah Island

Though the bookstore itself is nice, the staff were not. It's a shame because it really is a cute concept. Small and charming bookstore located in a small beach town. Couldn't get much better. But as my sibling and I walked in, the lady near the front simply looked at us and said "oh." I felt it very standoffish. My sibling bought something and even recalls them being standoffish despite him thanking them and telling them to have a good day. I believe the customer service is poor and lacking at this location and could be improved. I did not feel welcomed nor did I even receive a smile or a nod. I adore this tiny book shop. It's quiet, but not in a way where you feel you cannot speak a word, and the collection of books they offer is fantastic! I often find myself going in there to browse the new releases, or look at what I want to buy next after I finish my current book.
