If you're looking for a dining experience that blends the rich, bold flavors of traditional African cuisine with a modern twist, then Amie’s is a must-try! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the energy of the place… a perfect mix of warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The father-and-son duo running the show adds a personal touch to the experience, making it clear that they're passionate about what they do. 🥘
Now, let’s talk about the food. It’s real, authentic African cuisine, but with a twist that gives it a refreshing, contemporary vibe. Imagine the comfort and depth of classic African dishes paired with the savory, umami-packed goodness of hood Chinese flavors. Like that homestyle food you can’t go wrong with! It’s like a culinary love letter that honors tradition while introducing exciting new elements to keep things fresh. Every bite was a perfect balance of rich spices, tender meats, and textures that make your taste buds sing. 🍽️
What struck me the most was how deeply rooted in tradition the food felt, yet it still managed to surprise with inventive takes. It's a rare combo that manages to be both nostalgic and innovative at the same time. Whether you’re a fan of hearty stews or crave something a little more unique, they’ve got you covered. 🍲
As for the service? Exceptional. You can tell that the father and son care deeply about their customers. It's not just a meal…. it's an experience. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which makes you want to come back again and again. 🍱
If you're looking for a place that serves food packed with flavor, heart, and soul, Amie’s is your go-to. 1000000/10, highly recommend it’s the kind of place you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left. DEF will go back to...
Read moreI walked the short distance from the greyhound bus station (~.3 miles) for this food and I was NOT disappointed. At all! Went ahead and purchased lunch and dinner for me essentially, I got the ox tail and jollof rice and then I got the egusi and fufu.
The ox tail and jollof rice was super flavorful and hot! The chef made the oxtail made to order and it was super tender. Definitely worth the short wait (30 minutes) even though the chef said 45.
The Egusi and the fufu were great! Very hot and seasoned well. The egusi was balanced perfectly by the fufu. The fufu didn’t tasting like just yeast. This was ready in less than ~20 minutes.
The staff were friendly! Couldn’t have had a better experience. I also really love the orange floor!
Not sure what the other customer was talking about, but this food was hot, well seasoned and...
