Based on other reviews, I was really looking forward to a meal here. Sadly, it was SO disappointing. I'm used to eating Korean food. My mom is Korean. I've eaten Korean food in many major cities, including L.A. I've been to Korea. Basically, I know when it's good. This was not good. Kalbi was mediocre. Tasted over marinated and slightly mushy in texture. Portions for everything were chintzy. Meat, normally piled onto a hot metal plate, was spread out on a regular dinner plate in a single layer, as if to make it appear like a bigger portion. I've never been to a Korean restaurant where the banchan (side dishes) were literally enough for 2 bites of each dish. Plus, not so great quality or variety. Usually, these are unlimited so we could always ask for more. However, no one came to check on us the entire time so we didn't even have the opportunity to request more even if we wanted to. Lettuce leaves, also very standard with Korean bbq, were not available. When we asked for gochuchang (Korean red pepper paste), they brought out a squeeze bottle that was practically empty. To top it off, service was terrible. When we ordered, we were told the kitchen was backed up and it was going to take 20-25 min for our food to come out. We were there for a late lunch and were pretty hungry so we asked for the banchan to be brought out while we waited. We were told they would only bring it out with the rest of the food. So, we sat waiting for everything to come out at one time. I have never written a review on Google but felt so misled by the previous reviews of this restaurant that I felt compelled to speak up. I will never go back there and hope I save you from wasting your time and money...
Read moreUpon walking into the place, you definitely dont come here for the amazing views. It sits right on Vets memorial and 10th street so very easy to find. They got to me quick and got my drink out very quick as well. Now onto the food. I ordered the beef and broccoli with rice. Initial thought was "damn this looks good!!" Boy, was I wrong! It was very bland all around and not much flavor. The veggies tasted very raw and their original form. I was able to stomach it enough as I dont like to waste food but I will NOT be coming back on my own volition. My wife likes it here and comes here quite frequently so I wont hinder her but I wont be. The price isnt high so that's a redeeming facmV, tor to this whole thing. I think its between a 1 and 2 star so I gave it the benefit of the doubt. Eat here if you want but I wouldn't recommend the beef and broccoli at all. The egg roll was also very disappointing. I was expecting much more from it but nah fam. Oh well. You live...
Read moreAte here for the first time today. I ordered this dish Kimchi chicken with cabbage and rice. After a few bites, I knew I couldn’t take it anymore because it was very salty! I told the server and he said he’ll see what he can do. He came back and said the manager can’t do anything about it and I still have to pay. I said I’m not eating it like this. You guys are gonna have to fix this if you want me to pay, while handling him my plate. As I was waiting, the manager and the cook came out the kitchen with a face. I was waiting and waiting, while watching my friend and other people get their food. I finally asked where’s my food. The waiter said, oh the manager said he cannot do anything about it and he won’t charge. So why not tell me? I’ve been waiting for my food. The worst service ever! They must love salt because even the side dish had too much salt. Very...
