Taiwan Dragon Chinese Restaurant (台灣龍) — Restaurant in Killeen

What a delightful hidden gem! Located in downtown Killeen and owned and operated by the same family since 1981, this treasure is sure to please. We were looking for a new place to dine, and wow, the Taiwan Dragon far exceeded my expectations.

Inside the restaurant, you will discover The Wall. The Wall honors the men and women who serve in our military and consists of pictures from military units, mainly from Ft. Hood, plus friends and customers of the Taiwan Dragon. It is fascinating. The unique décor and honor of the military members on The Wall only adds to the Taiwan Dragon’s charm and inviting atmosphere.

The Food: Phenomenal! From the first bite, one can tell the meals are prepared fresh and with great care. It’s exceptional. Each dish has a unique flavor one can only experience at the Taiwan Dragon. I have had the same entrees at other establishments, like General Tso’s Chicken, but the Taiwan Dragon offers a uniqueness to its dishes, and they burst with flavor. You will notice the difference with your first pleasurable bite.

My Order: I ordered General Tso’s with Lo Mein noodles and sampled their egg rolls, and it was beyond fantastic. My husband enjoyed his pork Egg Foo Young as well. He loved the flavor of the dish and the uniqueness of the flavor. The meal arrived at our table promptly, piping hot, and tasted freshly made. Simply divine!

Customer Service: Unsurpassed. This is the way customer service should be everywhere. What a wonderful experience we had! The staff is super friendly, accommodating, and just spectacular. They make you feel as if you are their most important customer, and they make sure you have a wonderful dining experience. They were all such a pleasure.

Offering a terrific price point, phenomenal food, exceptional customer service, and a unique atmosphere, I cannot rave about or recommend the Taiwan Dragon enough. Get in your car and experience this magnificent restaurant. They will give you a million reasons to keep...

Terrible!!! I ordered food with a few people from work. It was delivered by Door Dash (which was great). When I started to eat my food I saw a long black hair in my general tso chicken. Luckily I saw it before my first bite! I immediately called the restaurant to tell them and the lady I spoke with told me that I could bring it back in to "show the kitchen" so I can get a refund. I explained to her that I was at work until 7:00pm and could not do that. Her response was that "It doesn't have to be today. It can be tomorrow or whenever" but I have to bring it in for the kitchen to see to get a refund. She kept repeating this. I politely explained to her that my concern is not the refund she is so fixated on, it is the fact that I'm at work for 12 hours and now have no lunch. She again said I can still bring it in tomorrow or next week even to get the refund. At that point I said forget it and just hung up. During the entire conversation there was never an apology or an offer to speak to the manager or an indication that the kitchen staff would be notified of the incident to ensure they take better precautions. Unacceptable of any business that values...

I called to place and order and I assume it was busy due to the worker over the phone sounding frantic and trying to multitask. As the person was taking my order over the phone I had asked if they had "cashew shrimp" and they said no we have "cashew chicken" so I started to place the rest of my order, wanting to come back to that, and the worker cut me off and told me that it would be ready in "30 mins" but the thing is I haven't even finished letting them know my entire order. When I told the person that I haven't finished, it sounded like they huffed over the phone then proceeded to say, "okay continue..". Then I asked again for the cashew shrimp but forgot they had already told me that they only had cashew chicken and the person yelled at me and said "I ALREADY TOLD YOU WE DON'T HAVE CASHEW SHRIMP BUT WE HAVE CASHEW CHICKEN." This was my 1st time ordering from here and the reviews is what made me wanna order here. That's NOT how you treat customers over the phone or in even in person. I get things get hectic and busy but ALWAYS practice good customer service!! I still placed the order even though the person was rude, I'm hoping the food...
