Ok where should I start? First and foremost the one star is too much. Two the customer service is beyond terrible. Getting to the meat of the review in which I try hard to not give bad reviews but this one is truly warranted. I order a pizza for my son which I stated I wanted a Margarita Pizza with no cheese. I asked if they had a veggie option in which the guy answering the phone said yes. I said I want to order that with peso sauce on it without cheese in which it was repeated to make sure the order was correct. We arrive and made sure he understood what we asked for on the phone. Long story short he didn't give us what we ordered. We told him we would like vegetables on the pizza like we stated in the call. So the guy at the register who's handling the money, debit/credit cards, receipts, and the cash register decided to go and touch the vegetables and put them on the pizza without washing his hands or putting gloves on and explained to us that's how they do it. I told him with Covid going on we will take our money elsewhere because what he did was unsanitary. He had no cares in the world and looked at us as if we were wrong. So you or any establishment that has terrible customer service and is unsanitary won't ever get a dime from my family, my friends, there friends, and whoever chooses to read this. #OYAB is...

I've had the pleasure of trying some of the best New York-style pizza places around, but Joe's Pizza in Killeen, Texas, takes the cake - or should I say, the pie!

The reason why this place gets as many as 4 stars is because of the food. Now to those expecting a "fancy bells and whistles" experience of higher end pizza chains - this is not that. But to those who KNOW what this place is, you won't be disappointed. New Yorkers will be familiar with this "no frills", middle of the night, by the slice, pizza joint. And will be pleased with the experience because you get everything you're expecting. The food tastes just like you would expect from a "New York style restaurant". The service is just about par. The staff are mostly of foreign descent, so they don't have the American attitude and manners, thus no "Texas friendliness", or anything of the sort. They won't throw your food at you, but they don't have that American understanding of civility. With that being said, they do try to be nice, especially if you dine in. But what really takes the cake, in a good way, is price. For $11 you get a 20" XXL pepperoni. Deals don't get better than that for pizza around these areas; especially for New York style.
