Mr Gatti's Pizza — Restaurant in Killeen

My daughter requested to celebrate her 6th birthday party here and after hassling with her to pick other places with better birthday packages for the price she won and I booked her party on December 28, 2023 and paid for it. Her party was book for January 6th, 2024 so that was a 10 day notice. I called and asked a couple questions on January 5th, so at least one employee and one manager knew about the party the following day. We showed up 15 minutes early so we could make sure everything was in order and get ready for the party. When we showed up the party planner was not there due to illness (understandable) the 2 employees did not know about the party. Took a little bit and got us back to the party room, she tried putting us in party room 1 and immediately closed the door because it was full of boxes and clutter. She put us in party room 2, there were blue balloons from another party, a small Christmas tree, couple boxes and ornaments we moved to the room over. There was trash, pictures from another party, pizza stuck to one of the tables, tables and chairs were unorganized, chalk was had stuff written on it and half erased and there was no trash can. I wish I had taken pictures before We cleaned everything up and made the room doable. Our party was at 2:00 thinking we only have 90 minutes for the room the pizza would be out by 2:30 at the latest.. no one fed their kids a full lunch so all kids are hungry and ready to play games. The pizza for the kids came to our room at 2:56. This give us 30 minutes to feed the kids, do my daughters birthday cake and presents before clearing the room- I did not leave the room at 3:30 as they had no other parties for the day and were delayed due to miscommunication and un-organization. I was told by someone the party planner was on the way and would handle everything and given extra game cards. I was told the party planner would handle the refund I was supposed to receive for half the party. The one female employee checked on us once about 5 minutes after the pizza was delivered to the room and not again. We set the decoration (table cloths, plates, napkins) given to us up. We did not get balloons, the kids played with the balloons left from a previous party. My daughter did not receive the free buffet for next visit that is advertised in the silver party package. We got dirty looks and attitude from 2 of the employees. I’m very upset, we were so excited when moving to Fort Cavazos that there was a Mr. Gatti’s in town, we visit frequently for dinner and family game nights. At the end of the party when asking about the refund the person that told me I would receive had already got off work and failed to mention to the manager or employee that I was to receive one, and I was told I owed $119.00…. For what? The money spent on the party package was not even worth it and I was absolutely not going to pay a random $119.00 I questioned the $119.00 and asked for an itemized receipt for this $119.00, the employee was flustered and could not tell me. She went and got the manager of the new shift from the back and that got cleared up and I was told a refund would be on my card used to pay for the party the next day. Still no refund. I advertised this place to my neighbors on Fort Cavazos, telling them the food and environment was great. There were not many options for pizza, the 2 slices I got from the buffet were cold, the salad was almost out and the ranch was empty for a while. The desert pizza was a disaster and the buffet line was dirty (man n cheese, ranch and other things on the counter) The pizza that was brought to the room was good and hot. I’m usually very relaxed, easy going and understanding. I felt uneasy and like I was being judged for bringing up issues that I feel should not have happened in their establishment in the first place. I AM A CALIFORNIA TOP GOOGLE and YELP REVIEWER aling with my sister we were requested to review this place I tagged along with her and some of our family we took photos of some shocking facts and even after we waited to see a resolve there were none her review in detail is posted in Yelp but even after she posted and the owner or a rep replied this place still remains open and un changed so I will be reaching out to the Health Department to look into some of these very serious health and safety concerns. I observed Mold on the tables, floors, bathrooms, plates cups and forks being served still stained with old food and filth on them, I observed severe rust on the chairs were my family sat and in further inspection all the chairs were rusted stained, and filthy with either rust, spilled old molded food, drinks etc the seats were filthy my sister put her grand son in her lap his chair was so disgusting in the rest rooms Nasty filthy leaked pipes, rust, mold and diapers spilling over on the floor and filthy baby poo fecal and blood from old sanitary napkins on the floor behind the toilet the restrooms are never checked nor cleaned and the walls molded and moist I was shocked as my sister watched and we both waited for the tables to be cleared and the 1 staff member who did eventually come to clear the tables only came when she saw my sister taking photos. The kids high chairs are Grose nasty the entire establishment is a bacterial breeding ground why are the floors allowed to be so filthy and disgusting there were alot of older people in thIs place with possible pre existing conditions, they were coughing, sneezing blowing there noses and none of the over worked staff cared to ventilate this place open a window turn on the AC bring some bleach and water to disinfect the table someone coughed all over before the next unsuspected family came to place there plates down on a breeding ground of filthy and bacteria. If the owner cares they should shut this place down before the Health Department or a bad case of massive FOOD POISENING or someone catch a bad case of Staph from human fecal and blood smeared in the bathrooms walls and on the toilet seats. Hello Everyone, Well this is another time for reviews and yes, I do see and understand all the other reviews that is on the site, but to each its own (I respect your opinions, please show the same courtesy to me). I went to Gatti"s Pizza on Friday July 26, 2019 and I did not want to eat, my 9 year old daughter did not want to eat but the lady that was with us wanted to eat, if we wanted to sit with her (since she was our guest and we all went together) we were forced to pay for a buffet. The buffet does consist of salad, fruit, pasta, pizza and pizza desserts, but what if you can't eat that stuff or do not want it? they do not care, As a matter of fact the lady that was the shift manager had the audacity to tell me that they have had people with colostomy bags, elderly and other sicknesses that could not sit in the restaurant area with their guest unless they paid for a buffet. She went on to say that the reason that they do this is because people eat on the buffet without paying. So I ask why do they not do wrist bands for the ones that pay? the lady then said, that they were doing that but when they confront people for eating ang not paying, there was huge controversy, so now everyone pays. I later over heard the lady talking about take out and I ask her if I could take my daughter's food since she didn't eat, she allowed me to do that since I didn't know about the whole must pay whether you eat or not to sit in the restaurant thing, she said as a courtesy. I must say she was very sweet, but that policy STINKS!! Well people, I do not know if you all see it or not, but if you just want to give your money away, then go to Gatti's in Killeen, I find their style egregious to say the least.
