Went on Mar 15. Was super busy but,we were excited to try at a friend's recommendation. We understood when told is was a,20 minute wait...that was fine.. we were seated in less than 20 minutes...feeling good. Then we ordered an appetizer and entree. ..took 1hour and 15 minutes to get our appetizer....calamari...which we found to be mostly roasted tomatoes, and banana peppers..it was good to taste but light on the calamari... our, entree came 30 minutes, later. I got beef tips..which came with mashed potato...5 tips and possibly 1/2 cup of potatoes. ...that was spread over the plate I suppose to make it look like more. The food was, luke warm...I also got carrots which were fine. My husbands chicken marsala was fine...but again not hot as you would expect. Waitress several times, apologized that "the kitchen was slammed"..it seemed to be the quote coming from different waitresses.I undersrand that this, was opening week but it seemed no one was in charge. As we waited...never offered a snack or bread .we were given pop corn from a bowl that was almost empty was brought over but we thought it was possibly from another table since close to empty.....by the time we got our food from when we were seated...it was nearly 2 hours...we were, asked if we wanted dessert and we choose no as we did not want another wait.. we went to another restaurant for dessert and coffee. I eish I coukd give a better review but there was little to...
Read moreI was SO disappointed by the food. I really was. But the food was so expensive for almost no food at all. The seafood casserole was just a tiny bowl with a couple piece of seafood(like three shrimp and 2 scallops and one other thing i cant remember) and it was just DROWNING in butter with a few breadcrumbs sprinkled on top. For $29?! That was outrageous. Absolutely unnecessary. Me and my brother in law had the scallops wrapped in bacon, and they were kinda gross. It was like they wrapped soggy bacon around a preboiled scallop and nuked them for 30 seconds. No seasoning, no nothing. And only 5 for $18?? With no side or anything??? Absolutely disgusting. The ONLY reason they get 2 stars on the food from me was because they had the most amazing New England clam chowder I've had in years.(Im currently not living in that state, so I like it when I visit) My mom and sister got the sugar cookie martini(?) I think it was, and they said it tasted like alcohol and water. I tried it and it was nasty. Would recommend the drink I got tho. It was just a fruity mixed drink, but it was good. The server was really sweet tho and she did a great job. We had no issues service wise. All in all, i wouldn't go back for anything other than the soup. But my family who I went with who have been there before said it wasnt good the past times they went, so I'm a little wary. I suggest you give it a try for yourself and see. You might enjoy...
Read moreI have been going to this place for some time now, although tonight I came in and asked for a booth and was told my wait would be about 15 or 20 mins, 👍 I then asked if I would be next, she said yes, so I waited approx 20 mins and then noticed a booth opening up, but the hostess seated a party that arrived about 10 mins after me, so I naturally inquired why she skipped me? And she responded that it was the restaurant's policy to seat a larger party before a single customer 😳 This so called policy was NOT told to me when I asked for a seat, but what i WAS told is that I would be next to be seated 🤔 plain and simple, now I've been going to numerous decent restaurants for many many years and I've never encountered such a greedy policy? I also think it's certainly rude and deceptive to tell a customer one thing and then just blatantly skip over them?😳 \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ (In response to the owner of Failside) this is EXACTLY how it happened, and when I explained it to two attending bartenders they were both very complicit with the hostess, there is just no more information I can give you, it's almost comical actually, I mean just how many more larger parties were you going seat before me? Or was I not suppose to know that either? 😆...
