Four of us (huge fans of the Crazy Craigâs locations) visited the Shipwreck Bar & Grill for the first time as we heard they had seafood boilsâŚour faves! The decor of the facility is great (as usual for a Crazy Craigâs locations), the merch is cool, and the size of the restaurant was very deceiving from the outside. Itâs huge inside! We especially loved that one section is under roof, but has screened in areas around the perimeter so fresh air can blow in, but you arenât bothered by beating sun or pestering bugs. It was perfect. The high-top tables and chairs are metal, so not the most comfortable, but colorful. Two of our group ordered the shrimp boil. I had the crab leg boil, and my husband had the ribeye steak. We were very disappointed in our boils, especially for the price. A typical boil that we have had several times comes in a plastic bag, filled with a typically Cajun sauce (and you can pick if you want mild, medium or hot spices), and you cut open the bag and all the messiness spills out onto your platter. This usually involves a big and sometimes gloves to eat it because it will stain things. This boil came in a mesh bag with zero sauce. It basically seemed just boiled. The quantity of food was good, but it wasnât what I would call a boil. More of a steam bath. My husband said his ribeye was excellent. Our server was great, although a little scattered, but she was attentive and very sweet. We did buy merch, and we plan to come again next time weâre in the area to try other menu items. But Shipwreck, please up your game on the boils or...

Went out to the bar near the stage hoping for a good time, but it was blazing hot. So we moved inside...still uncomfortably hot. Not a great start. We waited over 40 minutes for food, and to be clear, they werenât even busy.
I ordered fried shrimp and fries with coleslaw. The shrimp? Overcooked, rubbery, borderline inedible. The coleslaw? Zero flavor tasted like someone dumped shredded cabbage in a bowl and called it a day. My friend got the chicken and sausage jambalaya with rice. The rice was literally ice cold, and the jambalaya? Letâs just say Zatarainâs out of a box wouldâve been gourmet compared to this.
This place either doesnât have a chef or has one that moonlights as a microwave technician. The menu reads like a copy paste job from every other generic lakeside spot.
As for drinks, the beer was âsort ofâ cold, but not $7 cold. Thatâs a laughable 600% markup. And the rum and Coke? $9 for what tasted like flat cola with a drop of cheap liquor roughly a 700% markup for disappointment in a cup.
Two people. A casual meal. $100 later and all we had was regret.
This place is wildly overrated. Kimberling City isnât Kansas City stop pretending the price tag is justified. Theyâd be better off sticking to what they used to be known for: BBQ and paninis. But even then, at these prices, who cares?
I do not recommend this place. Save your money and...
Read moreThis is the first Bar/Restaurant/ entertainment hub worthy of such a description. The shipwreck is massive with awesome views of the lake with access to the lake via public boat launch/doc. Bathing suits and / or suits and / or casual is all acceptable.
The food is unique and prepared perfectly. Also, for those of us with Alpha-Gal, it's one of the few restaurants that I feel confident I'll be perfectly safe, as they take great care and take food allergies very seriously. The staff are all pretty awesome and deserving of a generous tip. Fun bunch who enjoy working for the Shipwreck as much as I enjoy visiting.
They have live entertainment and manage to attract some excellent talent. There is a separate ( space within a space ) with couches that make watching the entertainment even more enjoyable.
âś a must-see in the Kimberling City metro region.
Mostly, though, I feel like they appreciate my business, and I know I appreciate their hard, successful work at creating a lounge I can lounge in without being crammed in like little lifeless fish.
They have "slots" and pinball and all sorts of family stuff to do until 10 pm when it reverts to adults only.
Crazy Craig's Shipwreck, enhances the entertainment value and makes Kimberling City, a must see local in the greater Branson table rock lake area.
My name is Keith Stone ( sorta ) and I'm thrilled to finally have first class entertainment...
