Dambar & Steak House — Restaurant in Kingman

My boyfriend and I have loved wing night Wednesday. We try to go whenever we can. it's a great time to just get away from the kids and relax. We've been going for about 6 months, a couple times a month. They have had signs around that's a two-drink minimum on wing night Wednesday. Maybe I was naive but I just thought it was two drink minimum per party since it was always just my boyfriend and I. tonight when we got there the waitress immediately let us know that when we ordered our drinks she had to charge us for two per person I was very confused and thought maybe it was because she was new. I told her that we had been coming to wing night Wednesday now and that has never happened. we ended up telling her that it's fine, we'll take the two drink per person charge. As I'm there, I kinda get a little irked because I didn't even need two drinks to begin with. I didn't even finish my first drink. So I never even really got my second drink that I paid for. I asked the waitress if I could speak to the owner. When the owner came by I expressed my past experiences I've never been charged two drinks per visit and he explains to me that that's how they make their money on wing night Wednesday. I suggest maybe raising the price of the Wings or the price of the drinks during wing night or maybe charging for refills because I get he has to make his money but when I asked him how he can charge me for a product that I never really got... he told me that I must have just lucked out for the past six months because his previous girls weren't doing the their job.. he did offer to take these two extra drinks off of my tab this one time (so orchids to that?) but he told me moving forward that they have to charge me two drinks per visit, even if I only get one. I came here thinking it was a traditional steak house. This place is wayyy over priced and the food is very mediocre. I had a salad, beans, the tiniest piece of corn bread you'd ever seen, broccoli mix, and a chicken fried steak.

The salad had literally like 1 or 2 average sized cherry tomatoes, a lettuce mix (only lettuce), and enough salad dressing for about 3 salads. The beans tasted super old. The chicken fried steak was ok. Probably the best thing at the table. The broccoli mix was ok. The corn bread was so small it looked like a novelty item. I didn't even get to taste it.

The server came by and I asked if I could get something else in place of the beans or new beans and the server said, and I quote, I was getting the beans for free so there was nothing she could do about the old beans. I said what about the salad? She said what's wrong with it, and I said it has wayyyy to much salad dressing. Literally, like who puts salad dressing on someone's else's food? They put about a cups worth on about a half of cup of lettuce. And then I asked her if the corn bread was normal, because it was about the size of a silver dollar and she said yes and proceeded to take it off of my table. So I let her.

It took me about 5 minutes to eat my chicken fried steak and vegetables. After I finished I waited about 20 minutes for my ticket.

I will NOT give this place any more of my money. It's very average with above...

Took my grandma out for dinner for her birthday 10/10/24 food was ok and service was bare minimum, they completely ignored my request for them to sing happy birthday to my grandma which is whatever but seriously, here’s the kicker not only was I charged for my bill totaling 52.88 plus a $10 tip I was charged AGAIN for $109.07! So I called them 10/11 and they said should be back in my account within 24 hours due to a IT problem well nothing was returned I gave them till MONDAY 10/14 and I recalled and got a 2 manager who said should be there that afternoon…. Still nothing so I go down there 10/15 speak to a 3rd manager she says well let me see and I’ll leave a note for the GM same night I get a call from a apparent 4th manager saying they will dig into it and should be back in my account hopefully 10/16 but he’ll leave a note for the morning manager to give me a call and get it figured out it is now 7pm 10/16 no phone call and yet no refund. Not only have I been lied to but have now been stolen from after a week of fighting with these people so no their food is not worth this hassle and no there service is not worth it, do your self a favor since this company own also the airport cafe and the hualipi restaurant just go somewhere cheaper with better food it’s honestly sad how horrible these people are at communication when they are the ones that took...
