Chen's Chinese — Restaurant in Kinston

When I entered, there was little indication of seating arrangement: I was left with the impression that they had either moved in recently or moving things around. There was a smell too that I can't describe, which was a little unsettling.

The lady was super nice, and was kind enough to explain to me that they don't take credit cards on Sundays. No issue with her personally.

I chose to get the shrimp lo-mein and steamed dumplings. While I had no trouble as far as consumption goes, I confess my stomach to have had an unpleasant experience of pain. I believe that my stomach couldn't take something I ate, but which one or both, I'm unsure.

While I like the lady who helped me, I admit that food causing me an unpleasant experience in the stomach is a deal breaker. I hope she finds a way to improve the facility or finds a better location to make...

You can only order thru the drive thru, which is a bit difficult. The food was okay, but nothing spectacular. Couldn't eat it once it got cold because the chicken got so hard. Restaurants are just horrible these days and Chen Chinese has become one of those. Wire in my food.. almost swallowed it. Seems as if it was planted there..I literally had to pick around the meat on the chicken because it was so black. I mean all four! I will never return. Do yourself a favor and press the gas...
