I say the following knowing that you aren’t booking a hotel room here, checking reviews before a date night, or looking for a place to handle your financials. This is a review of a major fast food chain conveniently located off of a highway in a major thoroughfare. It won’t be considered before you go - but I’ve got time on a trip and this place is terrible, so they’re getting a new review.
Not sure why we continue to torture ourselves, but passing through town we tried to give this location another chance. Since they are so consistently bad in the same way each visit, I have to believe it is a training/systems issue.
We were asked to “give them a sec” at the speaker, which I understand…there might be a shift change, handling another customer, right in the middle of a task, etc. So again, I understand, but only to a certain extent. It took her a solid 5 minutes to return to the mic. Zero cars in the parking lot, no cars at either window when we arrived, and 4 different cars have come and gone from behind us, seemingly tired of waiting. Maybe she was cleaning a bathroom? Well, once we finally get to tell her that we have a mobile order (which we could have done in the first exchange), we can see 4-5 employees doing absolutely nothing behind the counter joking around, hanging out with AirPods in (which isn’t that much of a knock on them if they’re allowed to, I get that it can help pass time or focus with monotonous tasks - but I know it can also be a distraction and older folks are NOT going to like nor understand why you have those in).
The only one working was the poor girl who left us in the lurch at the mic. She seemed to handle putting together our relatively simple order of 2 combos with the highest level of difficulty, expressing that she didn’t have enough of this, couldn’t locate that, or forgot something else. Only received one drink, which she seemed confused about reconciling. I did give 2 stars instead of one, which is generous, but it is the first time (although with prompting) that I’ve ever been to this location and received the correct food. Unfortunately, the only thing colder than my burger patty, buns, or nuggets was the lettuce on my JBC (so, freshness I guess?). Fries tasted like they were cooked before Operation Dessert Storm, burger patty could have passed for jerky, but on the bright side I got 4 straws…so, there’s that.
Overall, this was just a gratuitous way to say that this place sucks. What are they doing in there? Also, we just pulled in the driveway at home, so this helped me pass that time. Thanks...
Read moreSomething going on here. I've asked for the owner or District Manager to contact me. I've spoken to the manager about my Drive through experience. I left feedback someone had it removed. Arrived New Years day3:30 p.m. 2 mobile orders. Pulled to window about 5 minutes later a voice stated "we aren't taking orders" I advised had ordered via App. Was advised to pull around.
Once at window they advised "not taking orders" I advised has received confirmation of orders via App. Guy was way slow responding in fact I had to frantically 👋 to get him to the window. I was then told "we aren't taking orders out of fries" I stated we didn't order fries. A female employee heard me and said "I got this" I asked male employee to make sure I got a spoon for chili. After a bit he handed me a bag with a chicken sandwich in it. I advised I needed the chili and a spoon. He stated " chili in the bag" I said no its a sandwich and showed it to him. I finally got the chili and "no spoon" I had to ask for the spoon yet again. I counted 7 employees doing everything from standing, texting, eating and talking. Other customers were denied service while I was there . Pulled off from order window. Manager Keesha called me. Stated they were not out of fries . She seemed bewildered then stated Manager must of been in the office??? and unaware?? The guy employee acted as if he didn't care anything about having contact with me. Honestly it felt like all employees were on break all at one time. Something is sketchy here. I challenge the owner to contact me for further information and details. Manager continually questioned my date of service, time, employees encountered...etc..asked was I sure".After the call I thought about it. Called her back and advised was mobile order and in fact I had mobile receipt. I read the receipt to her and confirmed date and time.? The manager should have known that. Like I said something sketchy going on At...
Read moreArriving on a Sunday at 12:30, I knew the wait for the drive thru would take forever. I suspected that I could be served much faster by going inside. The line waiting to place their orders was 10 people ahead of me. I decided not to get anxious or frustrated even though almost every single order before me was incorrect for one reason or another. There was one person taking orders even though there were 2 stations and she seemed more interested in telling her co-workers what they were doing wrong. When it was my turn, there was no salutation at all. You could feel the tension in that store. When she finally turned her attention to me, I placed my order...1 single burger with cheese and ketchup ONLY and a medium drink. She asked if I wanted a combo and I said no loudly because I could tell she was distracted. So then a boy handed me my "combo with no ketchup". I said that's not what i ordered. The girl who waited on me said: "Yes you did." And then proceeded to get loud. I said I know what I ordered. Maybe you were distracted. That's when her hand flew up palm facing me and said "No." I could see the manager in the back watching. When the manager didn't come to the front, I told them to forget it. I had paid $7.15 for nothing. This girl and her manager need training on customer service. They made me feel like I had done something wrong. It will be a long time before I eat at the WENDY'S located on Hwy 70 near ChicFilA and Lowes in Kinston. Horrible...
