I didn't realize that this sonic didn't have an actual drive thru like the sonics I have been too. It was really hard to understand the man in the drive thru and I almost wanted to cancel my order and leave bc I felt so bad for making them come out in the rain, and I have a truck that is very hard to pull into the stalls,I have had issues with my own personal large truck and the sonic booths. I had my male partner hit the side menu with his truck before bc the truck was too big. I am on a business trip as well and my service dog in traing was in my truck. I was getting food for her as well. We sat out in the rain soaked from being out in the rain all night. I ordered 2 combos ,a burrito, the toast grilled sandwich and French toast sticks. I recieved no napkins, no maple syrup , but a ton of ketchup. I let my dog Luna đ have the burrito and sandwich, both were covered in cheese and I just wanted the meat off of it but I also have a thing about cheese. I dont like it all over my meat and bread. I didn't ask for no cheese bc again I couldn't understand the man very good and i felt bad that i didnt do a good job ordering, and they wouldnt make iced coffee for me. And i wanted another drink option but felt inclined to keep it to myself so my dog and i could eat ,bc we were starving from not eating much on our trip from over an hour from st louis ,and our walk we had in the cemetery this morning and from shopping @dollartree. So I only came here bc raising canes wasn't open yet it was still morning and they dont open until later. This has been the 1st time in probably 10 yrs that I have had fast food in kirkwood. I was really disappointed at the most populated and only actual drive thru place was a drive thru coffee place. When I saw the line for it ,I thought it was a bank and everyone was getting $ out. Then I just realized they are just getting coffee. In my opinion, in the morning people are already late or in a hurry as it is ,how do you not try and save money and convince and make your coffee @home. The outside trash cans were also full of trash, and things that are not even sonic trash. I picked up some trash and took 2 of the card board drink carrier that looked unused ,they can be reused or recycle âťď¸.    Read moreMale employee blurted something to me at the stall after about 3 minute wait that was impossible to understand. I pushed the call button again and it was rather quickly shut off. I tried once more and again was cut off. I went through the drive through and placed my order. The wait wasnât terrible but noticeably delayed. Not only was my corn dog on the cool side it was too tough to eat on 1/3 from top to bottom. My drink wasnât the size or flavor I asked for. I couldnât believe I had driven from my country home to the closest (25 minutes) suburb Sonic for that. Iâm fully aware that ppl have bad days, are immature or just received bad news and arenât performing at their best. This isnât what was happening though. I think they were short staffed and couldnât keep up. But the rudeness was unacceptable!! I did not tip for his bad behavior and who ever his crew member was who blurted something at me and kept cutting me offâŚliterally!! He may have been ticket off that I didnât tip. But a tip is to show my gratitude for good service. Call me old school but thatâs what a tip means ppl. Like it or not. I want my money back and would appreciate an apology. That wonât likely happen.    Read moreThe service at this location has gone down considerably over the past year. We waited over 20 minutes just to place an order at a stall. To make things worse, it took another 20+ minutes to get our food. And this was after the server who took our order was rude and impatient, giving confusing commands - e.g., 'speed up', 'slow down'. After having another customer tell us they waited a while to order, too, and after 30 minutes of waiting for their food just left ... we should have just taken their hint and driven away. Between this experience and the frequency of this location not accepting either mobile orders or mobile pay (at least no mobile pay on 04/12), I think this location is officially dead to us. To be fair the person who brought our food out was apologetic, acknowledging the delay. However, the fact of rudeness, the food we received not matching what we ordered, and multiple other customers showing similar frustration it appears there is a management issue.
