I've been craving some German cuisine for a while and found this hidden gem. You walk into a little gift shop and then through another door, which leads you to an open dining area. I read reviews on this place, but I'm a firm believer in seeing it for myself. I went for a late lunch on a friday afternoon. It was clean and not busy. The menu is short and simple with standard German fare. I love Schnitzel and got the pork schnitzel. I wish it was cut or tenderize a bit thinner but not a deal breaker. I also enjoyed the potato pancakes and OMG it was amazing! Crispy, tasty, savory, it came with sour cream. I wanted to order more but didn't have room after my Liter of Oktoberfest. Red cabbage had the right consistency and flavor. Can't wait to explore this menu. The only thing it was missing was spatzel. The Chef was kind enough to come out and meet me. Did the VIP experience for Octoberfest that included table service instead of standing in a long line. The server was new and after taking our order she was replaced by another server who could not find our order. Meal was great after it arrived over an hour later. The website indicated live music which never happened. Music was from a computer or iPad. Games were drinking games and not very family friendly. Management provided a complimentary mini-keg (5 liters) that we took home. When we ordered dessert that was part of the VIP package, it took over an hour and we left before it came. Food is always amazing. The beer is the best, and the staff are incredible. I haven't seen a lot of people in there lately which is surprising because the food, drinks, and atmosphere is amazing. I've been there when its packed and I still get great service. I come here usually after the theme park with the kids for dinner. The kids love the food and they have healthy options.
