I really wish I could give this place 5-stars, because the ambience was incredible, plenty of seating area, and most important of all, the food and coffee were so incredibly tasty. Nevertheless, “not everything is gold”as they say, and the biggest flaw was in the service. We were told we could order right from our table using the QR code. Meals were a little overpriced to be honest, but we wanted to try it. 10 minutes later our drinks were called out and we picked them up. Then we waited, and waited, and waited some more. After an obnoxious 35 minutes of sitting there and our drinks being completely consumed, I approached the counter again, and the worker seemed confused as he went to check. Lo and behold however, he came out stating that “they could make the food right now…”, so I asked out plainly “was it never made??” and his simple “no… I apologize…” said it all. In his defense, he did offer a refund if we didn’t want to wait, but by then it was 11am and we wouldn’t have easily found another place serving breakfast at that time, so we opted to wait and get our meals. We were offered another coffee for free and 10 minutes later the food finally came out. The meals tasted pretty good to be honest, but presentation wise it also seemed kinda rushed, which obviously they had to I guess, but I would’ve rather it be perfect. I think however what bothered us the most was that when the food finally came out and they had us collect it, we were given a single overcooked strip of bacon on the side alongside with a “for your trouble” from the person handing the food. I would’ve much rather not been offered nothing at all. What were we supposed to do with 1 single bacon strip for the both of us? After all that, we ate our food, cleaned up our table, and left. Would we come back? Maybe? I guess…But to me that’s my biggest pet peeve with a restaurant, when they completely forget about the customer. And in a place like this it is so easy to be forgotten, because although it may seem like full service with being able to sit down, order form your table, and dine in, there are no servers making sure your meal is actually being prepared and done right. So just like we were, you may end up being forgotten among the sea of orders, and if you’re lucky, you might get a single strip of bacon for...
Read moreI recently visited this breakfast spot on Mother's Day, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. After a 45-minute wait, which we were willing to overlook given the holiday, the quality of the food was shockingly poor. It was clear that corners were cut at every turn, with dishes appearing rushed and carelessly prepared.
The lack of knowledge about the menu was also astounding. When I ordered an acai bowl, the server misinformed me about the toppings. What I received was a pre-made to-go bowl that tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for far too long—hardly fresh or appetizing. The juice tasted like it had been pre-poured and stored for an extended period, lacking any freshness. Our omelette, which we customized with ham, had the ham simply thrown on top as an afterthought. The food, overall, seemed dry and hastily made, indicating a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen.
To add insult to injury, despite requesting mugs for our coffee since we were dining in, we were given everything in to-go containers. This laziness and disregard for customer preference made the experience even more frustrating. It's understandable that Mother's Day can be busy, but the lack of effort and quality was unacceptable. This place needs to seriously rethink its approach to food preparation, staff training, and...
Read moreI’ve been here twice, the first time the girl at the counter took my order after waiting in line. I noticed how friendly she was with the people in front of me even though they were speaking Spanish, I could tell it was a friendly interaction. However, when I got to the front of the line (a black woman) she barely spoke. I ordered a latte and paid $8 for it. After about 15 minutes I noticed that nobody was making it for me. So I asked and she said she’ll get to it. Another girl finally came out the back and made it and handed to me. Since the latte was good I went a second time. I could tell the same girl remembered me. Her service when ordering was the same and she deliberately let me wait. She tended to every customer that came in instead. When she finally started making it, another customer came in and she put it to the side and took their long order. After waiting almost 25 minutes this time, she handed me my coffee and said “sorry for the wait “ with a smirk on her face! What a racist asshole! Sorry Vanessa, but if this is ok with you, you shouldn’t be...
