Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Knightdale

Slow drive through line. I had heard news of this new amazing chicken sandwich so I decided to try it before work one day. Long line in drive through. Ended up waiting for 1 FULL HOUR before I got to the pickup window. They handed me the sandwich as soon as I got to the window. What possibly could have taken so long I will never understand. Never again will I go with a long line at the drive through. So tonight I see 2 cars in the drive through. Almost no one inside the restaurant. It’s 9:30. I think this shouldn’t take too long. I order my food. Pull up behind the two cars waiting. I wait. 5 mins. Turn my engine off. 10 mins. 15 mins. 9:50 comes along. I don’t even see anyone peak their head out of the window. Forget it. I sped over to Bojangles across the street and order my food and had it in my hands within 5 mins. I have to pick up my pregnant wife from work. I don’t have 30 mins to waste waiting to get a sandwich. What are those people doing in there!? These people need some kind of training. Or need to cut some of the dead weight employees and hire some that know how to move faster than a snails pace. Their is no reason to go to Popeyes no matter how good the food is. Not when I can get in and out of a chick fi le or Bojangles that has twice as many people there as Popeyes and get my food within 5-10 mins at most. Cut the dead weight or train some people. District manager needs to find out what the hell is going on at this place. I don’t know if the other Popeyes out there are any better but I’m not going to even bother to try...

I gave all 1 stars because I'm not happy right now. Usually, there are no issues with the service and / or food . But tonight, my husband and I placed an order through the app , no issues with the app at all. However, that being said, my husband placed his order at 10:26pm. Popeyes, don't close till 11pm. How did you not see the order he placed on your screen ? He clearly told you he was picking up an order, his own personal order, not a door dash order . You told him to pull up and that you were kind of backed up. we did just that pull up behind one other car in front of us. Waiting!! For a good while, the manager brought food out to the car in front of us, no problem . Another lady collects her food inside, no problem. Still, we are waiting, so I see them breaking stuff down. My husband walks inside, and apparently, they didn't see his order he placed at 10:26pm still some time before closing, and they couldn't do anything. Everything is put away, and the manager says there is nothing she can do. You can get credits from the app like just nonchalant, no care, to be honest . You didn't offer him any suggestions, nothing that was a lack on your part as a manager like you could have said you know what come in tomorrow and I can give you your meal for free as a lunch something . That was our late dinner, but I couldn't get that and wasted money spent .

Stopped at this location last night for the first time. Just moved here, so figured I’d give them a try. Placed a mobile order for a simple 6pc wings meal and 4 sides. We get to the driv-thru and the order was not ready, so we were asked to pull up to wait, which was fine. Only they never came outside to bring us our order. So after waiting for 10 minutes, we go inside only to wait longer….We get the food, then they lock the door I guess they were about close the dining area. Our bag was missing 1 small side. Tried to get back inside, door now locked & now we had to wait in the driv-thru again. Once we finally got to the window & told them we were missing 1 side they gave us such a hard time and tried telling us we got everything in the order. No, we did not. Then a woman, not sure if she was a shift Manager or not mumbled something under her breath and then just rudely tossed us a small side. Frankly, for the inconvenience of the waiting, having to get back in a driv-thru lane, and then missing an item in our order, you could have made it right by maybe throwing in an extra biscuit or two…..something. But no. I will not be stopping at this location anymore. I can take my business to Bojangles or...
