I didn't know Cook Out serves bbq. Oh my goodness, their bbq is delicious. It's chopped up really good and the slaw is good too. I have found me a new place to buy some good ole fashion bbq! Yum!
I am updating my review. I do enjoy Cookout's bbq, but unfortunately last night I did not get a chance to eat my bbq. I gave my order to a young man outside at the drive thru. I finally get to the window only to be met by the rudest young lady. She blurted something out as soon as I drove up to the window. I asked her what did she say. She dayis it so fast and so rude to me that again I did not understand her. Finally, I asked her about my order and I told her that it was missing a sandwich. Keep in mind, I still haven't received or paid for the order. She keyed something in for a new sandwich. Again, she was rude to me. By this time, I had enough. I do not approve of drive offs. But, I did it for the first time last night. I told her before I drove off that she was rude. With all that said, I don't know if I'll ever go back to the Knightdale, Cookout anymore. It's a treat for me, my disabled mom and husband to get bbq from Cookout. We live on the other side of Wendell/Zebulon area. That young lady has no business in customer service if she doesn't know how to act toward the customers. I am spending my money with Cookout, so I deserve respect as a customer, most importantly. I am a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMost days the customer service is good. Sometimes there might be a one-off but it's nothing significant. The food is fine. They rarely get orders wrong and they've gotten better about seasoning the fries š. But what I REAAAALY ā„ļø about this place is how clean they keep it. It still looks brand new. There are two ladies that come to mind when I think about the cleaning. They clean that lobby and bathroom like it's at their house! It seems so minor, but I truly appreciate the care that they and other staff put into the cleaning.
Lastly, all of the managers seem cool, especially the main one (I don't know his name š¤·š½āāļø) but he's the tallest one there if that helps. He is so nice and laid back. He is like ALWAYS there and jumping in to help his staff. I've seen him taking orders inside and outside in the rain. He takes feedback well and seems to care about his team AND customers. That balance is so important. I'm grateful for what they do because I know it gets crazy in there. I've seen the line inside and out šµāš«. Especially...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKinda disappointed after last night. It has been a go to 4 or 5 times a week because I lived next to it and my family has a lot to choose from and the shakes are good. But last night, after a long day, I got the same tray I get every time. Rings up to $16. I stopped and said that's not right. Usually it's 11 and some change. I asked the lady 3 times, even asking did y'all change your tray prices as I glanced at the menu and saw they hadn't. Ignored all three times with a polite passive aggressive F U attitude. I was tired and ready to go home so I just paid the extra 4 ish bucks and said to myself (in my petty voice). Well hope it was worth it, Cook Out. LoL Once I got my food I realized that instead of the tray she rang up each item separately which caused the price increase. Guess she may have been new and either didn't know how to run the register or didn't care about me having to pay more. Either way wanted to share my 4 dollar upcharge...
