We visited the Qdoba in Knightdale tonight (3/15/2019) around 9 PM. As we approached the door we saw one employee leaning/laying over the checkout counter while the person behind the counter was fixing her hair. We stood there, watched, and walked in, but immediately decided to leave after the employee behind the counter ( the one who was fixing the other employee's hair) only sanitized her hands, proceeded to put on gloves, and attempt to fix our food. Let me also point out that neither of them bothered to sanitize/disinfect the counter. I called the store to speak with a manager, but I wasn't convinced that the person who answered the phone was the manager as she had stated. Her voice sounded as though she could have been the one fixing the other girls hair or the one getting her hair fixed. If either of those two are managers then they should have known better. If there was a manager on duty then this should not have been happening. Personally, I thought their actions were unsanitary and things like this should not occur in plain view. We all have to fix our hair during the day; when you are working with food, do it privately (not over the checkout counter or around the food area) wash AND sanitize your hands, and make sure hair isn't on your clothes. It is my hope that this review will be used to constructively teach these young ladies about workplace expectations, behavior, handwashing, and...
Read moreA great quick serve restaurant for lunch or dinner. Every time I come in, I'm always greeted by the fresh smells of something delicious grilling. The employees rarely turn over, and the manager is passionate about making sure you are happy. The staff here is serious about the pandemic. I always see their employees in masks, and they are fastidious about washing their hands before preparing any food items.
You can customize tacos, burritos, quesadillas, salads, and open food bowls (called burrito bowls) with anything you like. They have a couple of cheese sauces, a barbecue, and four types of fresh salsa to choose from. A shredded cheese blend, fresh diced cilantro, red onions, and ground cotija cheese round out the options. The main proteins are pork, ground beef, shredded chicken or pork, brisket, and plant based Impossible. You could come here for weeks and never run out of flavor combinations.
Their most famous item is the burrito, and if you get one, don't peel off all the foil! You just peel off the part where you plan to bite it; otherwise, you will have a mess. Buen Provecho!
The place got a renovation in the summer of 2022, and the wood and simple lines looks great. The only thing they missed was to add power outlets and USB ports along the bar. The same great people are still working there...
Read moreLet me start by saying I generally enjoy coming to this location, the staff are normally friendly and the food is great. THIS particular trip was awful. I come after I get off work all the time which is close to 9pm. I’m aware that they close at 10 so I don’t come after 9:30 to be considerate of them preparing to close. I walked in and greeted them and NOBODY returned the greeting. I’d say they didn’t hear me but I was the only customer in there and they looked up. These girls I have never seen so I assume they may be new or work other shifts. One was cleaning the prep area where the toppings are and Saran wrapping the toppings (it’s 8:55), never spoke. The one who served me had an attitude as if I was inconveniencing her the entire time. As she made my bowl she saw that she didn’t have enough of the rice I requested so SHE decided not to replenish it but just pile on more beans (didn’t ask if that what I wanted or not). By the end of the transaction my good mood that I entered with was gone. I paid and my bag was nonchalantly slung (as her attitude had increased because a family had come in after me) I was just over it. I’m going to return but if they’re working I’ll come back when...
