Christos Family Dining — Restaurant in Knox

Had waited 10 minutes after being seated. My wife and I were so hungry, so I went up front to counter and waited while 6 people talked after 2 minutes the tall man waiter asked what I needed. I said we had been sitting for a while and no one has come to take our order. I I stood there for a few minutes and waited while they argued on who is going to come help me. They pushed me off on a young blond girl she was sweet. Brought me my iced tea. And my wife water. Then she brought my broccoli cheese soup then 5 minutes later brought out the cheese sticks. And 25 minutes later they brought out her food while people who had come in after us already had their meal. I ordered the special pork chops and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered a Greek salad with chicken breast and NO olives. When her salad finally came out it didn't have the chicken on it and was covered with Olives. Waited 5 or more minutes for them to bring chicken out for her, which was tender and moist, but had absolutely no seasoning or salt or flavor at all. My meal was supposed to come with pudding, and they had promised us a free dessert because of the delay earlier, but I'm not waiting for my dessert I'm leaving it was included with my meal but I don't want it. Went up front she told me it was 47.50. When I said here is 60 bucks that kind of sucks for not even getting your food they brought the chicken 10 minutes later and the wrong salad. She threw the money back out said get out of here. We were very nice not bad people they made me feel bad I don't like this place at all they hurt my feelings please don't eat here. Don't eat here!!! The dinner rolls were the best I've had anywhere, including Maine. Best breaded mushrooms I ever had. The rueben was delicious. The waitress Ashley. She may have been new or not used to a big group. Waitress stood at 1 end of the table, and we all had to serve ourselves handing food 1 by 1 and grab in front of others. Including drinks, we had to pass down to the other end. Even though she asked how we wanted our steaks cooked, they were all well done, and some were dry. Since none were cooked the way we ordered them. The mushrooms on the steak were so delicious. The few steaks that were not dry tasted really good. Even though the menu said veggies upon request, we still all got a dish of green beans. However, they didn't look very good. We didn't eat. The salad had 1 piece of tomato, 1 piece of cucumber, and 3 slivers of onion & the rest was all lettuce. I asked for a second blue cheese dressing and took 2 times asking. When I got it, it was like water. No flavor like the first cup and ran right out of the cup. Didn't get asked if we wanted desert. We will go back since it may have been an off night. Understand that sometimes that happens. I just wanted to take the time and address these issues, and hopefully, the waitress will walk around and serve each person their food instead of others touching our plates and cups. Thank you! Christos, was an up and down experience. At first arrival, things were looking up to start the desert case was filled to the brim with what looked to be delicious little treats. As the fun took a turn with staff who just seemed to busy to really be helpful. Drinks took quite a while to get, then when they arrived it seemed to be an inconvenience to take our food order right away. Our salad and rolls arrived first and thank goodness for the extra dressing which drowned the salad because the waxy butter that was for the rolls wasn't quite enough to battle the roll lol. Food finally did arrive after the 20min wait alloted for fried chicken 🍗 which was actually quite good. The lasagna was a taste to be desired, some would say it was good and some maybe that it's just yesterdays left over covered in new sliced cheese 🧀 . The fish was also a good plate to try .
