Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Knox

Our family was there with a large group of about 20 people. We ordered about eight pizzas and began waiting. My teenage son, who has life-threatening food allergies and cannot eat pizza, went to another restaurant to purchase food that he could eat and brought it back with him to join our group at Pizza Hut. The manager made the waitress tell me that no other restaurant food is allowed in the eating area. I explained the situation and was grudgingly told that it would be okay this time, but never again. I understand the concept of ordering all your food somewhere else then coming in to eat it at Pizza Hut, but we had well over $100 of pizza ordered, and she was unwilling to accommodate a child with severe food allergies? It was so rude, and especially since he was sitting in the corner of the booth, where few people would even notice. I was embarrassed for the manager's small-mindedness, not to mention a little annoyed about her attitude. We waited forever for our food. It didn't come out all at once, in fact, it came out two pizzas at a time about twenty minutes apart. This was one of my fav places to gather my grandkids and family. But because of a waitress and manager I will NEVER go there again. I didn't come all the way from Fort Wayne to visit my family in Knox Indiana to be so rudely talked to by a waitress that didn't get anything right and a manager that took her side instead of the customer. We tried to give her our order but she wouldn't let us get a word in to tell what we wanted and when we did she got it all wrong. The the bill came then we got charged for 3 pizzas a PZone and we only ordered 2 and no PZone she messed up one pizza and had to make another. Wrong bread sticks we ordered 1 regular and 1 cheese sticks. She brought us 2 regular and no cheese bread. Then we find out we r charged for her mistakes and with that manager the customer is always right sure wasn't her Moto. I reluctantly decided to have Pizza Hut for dinner tonight. I have not ordered from these guys for about a month or two now because the last two times I have ordered carry-out, the taco pizza was not prepared correctly. It appeared as if someone took a sausage pizza, threw a salad on it, and put it in a box. I decided to give them another try tonight; except this time, I called and spoke with the manager immediately after ordering. The manager, named Heather, was VERY friendly and helpful after I explained what had happened on my last two experiences with them. Upon receiving my order at the drive-through window, we discovered that Heather left a very nice message on the box, saying she had prepared our taco pizza herself and hoped we enjoyed it. I’m thoroughly pleased with this manager’s initiative to make sure my order was done correctly and to take my disappointed experiences and change my mind on being a frequent customer again.
