Had a great time here on Sunday Morning! I had French toast and sausage. My husband and baby had the breakfast buffet. French toast was good, a bite or two was soggy (BUT I hear some people like that, not to yuck anyone's yum) but still good. Sausage Patties were good
Buffet - not sure if it changes week to week or day to day over the weekend but the below is what the baby and my husband had Scrambled Eggs - Husband said they were good Breakfast Potatoes (I think they had like melted cheese on them) - Husband said they were good Krunchy French Toast - The baby devoured them, and she didn't even add syrup (so obviously really good lol) Sausage Links - Both my husband and the baby liked them Biscuits and Gravy - My husband suggested I try them next time, as he said it was good and I'd like it, and I usually only like his homemade Gravy. So I am excited to try it next time
Service - was great, never fails anytime I come here that I always end up with the nicest waitress, and each time I've come it's a different, so I would imagine no matter when you come, you'll end up with great service from a great waitress!
Atmosphere - Very friendly, and I loved hearing the waitresses greet most of the incoming customers by name, such a lovely small town culture thing to see. The customers all seemed happy to be there and obviously come back regularly.
Hoping to find time to come again...
Read moreWe stopped for their breakfast buffet, because pre-covid it was very good. The positive: the food we did have was good. The bad: pretty much everything else. The selections were a lot fewer than the previous buffet. Maybe half? One thing missing was bacon. I don't know how you have a breakfast buffet and not have BACON? Then when we got up to the buffet to fill our plates, we had to wait with some others because there were NO clean plates. When we finally got back to our table we thought that there were only one set of utensils for us. We waited and finally got the server's attention and she yelled from across the way, "both sets are in the one napkin". We opened it and sure enough there were two sets in the ONE napkin. I finally got her attention again and asked if maybe we could both have a napkin. The lady explained that they were very busy before we got there and ran out of clean plates and utensils, and of course were low on napkins. Another employee eventually bought us a second and even a third napkin. They must have decided to splurge. We won't go there again for a good while, and hopefully down the road when we decide to take another chance, they will have, bacon, plates, napkins, and...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I just ate at Country Kettle. My girlfriend is a waitress. When our server brought our food out, she asked if we needed anything else. My girlfriend said she would like some parmesan cheese. Our waitress did not bring out the cheese, and she checked on other tables around us. After noticing her and before I could politely call to get her attention, she went back towards the kitchen. A couple moments later, as we were both still eating, she came out with our check, put it on our table, and said, “this will be here for when you guys are done.” As she proceeded to walk away, my girlfriend asked for a box. Our waitress went to get a box for her. Right as she turned around to come back to our table, I politely asked for one too. Then I asked that question, this waitress was looking at me, and she rolled her eyes before turning around to get one more box. I usually tip generously, especially for good service, which my girlfriend appreciates, as she has been a server for six years. I left a tip of $1.00 this time, and both of us agree that was probably more than...
