Let me first start off by saying this may be the first 5 star review for this establishment, and it is no doubt the first I've left for a hotel restaurant... But it's obvious no one has left a review because 5 stars isn't enough to quantify my experience. Let me first begin with our in room refrigerator doesn't work, the bathrooms are small, I had to step into the toilet to get in and out of the shower and the pillows must be some new age collapsible thing the millennials enjoy... But that was all forgotten and completely redeemed when my palate was graced with the chicken marsala from this fine establishments kitchen. It also made up for the fact I had to eat with my plate in my lap but that's because We were having too much fun to sit at a real table. And I'm used to normally scarfing down my lunch standing up as a client is coming into my palace of business. I will no longer go to carrabbas or olive garden for my chicken marsala needs as that hunger will never be quiet satisfied after the experience I had tonight at Gibbys. My doubts were high when I opened the envelope to find food vouchers good for 1 good meal at the hotel diner. We've all seen road trip right? I'm thinking I'll have the French toast even though I'm having the marsala. Ill be dreaming of that pillow of mashed potatoes later tonight that so perfectly supported that wonderfully prepared chicken coated with the savory marsala roux/sauce... Mmm I just wish my pillow supported me the same way. I will drive 5 hours from Louisville to dine here just because it was such an awesome experience, our waitress, whose name escapes me, was wonderful because she didn't judge us because we used our vouchers, she embraced us. We had issues charges or phones so she politely recommened a local Cellular location that takes the same pride in Sales as they do in their Marsala! My compliments to the chef, I will be back... Tomorrow, as I have another voucher and we don't get to...
Read moreWorst restaurant ever. Michele, Jeanette, and Daria are amazing servers and bartenders, but the way the management team treats them is unacceptable and i feel bad that they have to work there. They try to embarrass these ladies by saying use your head sweet heart, or yelling at them in front of guest, and ive heard su and Sadie yell at one of them from the dining room when the were in the back, both on seperate occasions. I came in on a Monday and normal cash out procedure, paid with my card. i come in the next day, Tuesday and Daria tells me i have to give her a card, cash or room number before i can get anything. so i tell her i was just in there the day prior and SU didnt take any of that information nor did she do it to any other guest and daria says they have been doing that for a month now, and i come in atleast 5 days a week and i have never had to do that. and what disturbed me the most is daria told me she got written up for not getting a customers card before and i just couldnt believe it. Management isnt following the rules their putting in place but are going to put their employees jobs on the line for following in managements foot steps. Me and many other regulars will not be coming to gibbys, i will not support a company that allows their management team to degrade and disrespect their employees and guest. not only do they talk badly about and to their employees they do it to guest, i have heard them bad mouthing guest behind their saloon door.this restaurant has literally went down hill ever since these 2 ladies stepped foot in that door. i pray that Mr. Gibson can get ahold of things before he looses his resturant due to lack of management and...
Read moreThis was supposed to be part of the New years eve package. Choose a time to eat dinner and go into the bar area for the celebration. Dinner was 3 1/2 hrs late, bar area was full. No tables and chairs. Due to selling the wristbands for $15 to give everyone access to the bar and party. We went in earlier to look for a table,in the bar area. We were told that you can't "save" seats. But yet, half of the BAR had reserved notes in front of the seats??? I would recommend that you DO NOT GO FOR THE NEW YEARS EVE package from...
