Let's preface this review by stating that I have enjoyed the franchise for many years. I've tried out the delis in several states at this point. By far, this location falls far off par from the typical establishments. The first impression was a trash on the floor and lack of table cleanup, basically not bussing the vacated tables. Upon waking to the counter, we were greeted by a cashier wearing jesters hat, with the personality of a depressed sketsophenic cat. When we asked about a soup, he literally barked at us and said that this particular soup wasn't made today if it wasn't on the sign. Might I add, the sign was in such a way, that no one could read what it said. Next, I ordered a spud (one of the reasons that I had c come there), when I'm told.. hold please... as he tells over his shoulder... this guy wants a spud, so we have any (I paraphrase). From the back I hear that no spuds are coming up. How is it that this key point isn't made very obvious on the menu etc. As a last resort, I ordered a sandwich. When our order arrived, the sandwich wasn't warm any longer, the size was about 1/3 smaller than i has just a few months ago from another location, th amount of meat can only be described as scarce, and the surrounding areas were still needing trash removed and general cleaning. In summary, this location is definitely not worthy of the label or your money. Plenty of other places nearby that actually want...
Read moreOrdered to-go 3 different times and not once was it right. In fact, 2 of the times I tried to correct the order I was told I was incorrect. 1st time forgot the soup with the soup and salad. Fixed that one before I left since it was obviously not with the order and I always check my orders. 2nd time ordered avocado added to a sandwich for a friend(extra charge item). Checked the sandwich, didn't look like it was on there so I told them they forgot it and was told by the lady (who looked annoyed I even asked) "no they said they put it on there it's probably just hidden". Not my sandwich to dig through. So I was pretty frustrated when my friend said there was no avocados when she dug in. 3rd time (tonight) again not busy at 7:15ish. Ordered 2 potatoes, added bacon to one (again an extra charge item), and a side of cheese. Checked it. They not only put the side of cheese on one of the potatoes it looked like there was no bacon. When I told the girl she looked at me like I was lying or it irritated her (same girl as before, short in height, dark short hair.) But she gave me the side cheese and I was AGAIN told "they put the bacon on it it's under the cheese hidden" I even heard the guy tell the lady he put the bacon on. But again got home and not one peice of bacon. The employees tonight were having a very lively discussion about lying to management about doing a task. So I don't know why I expected not...
Read moreAfter having a bad experience with McAlisters in Pigeon Forge, I decided to give the one in Turkey Creek a try. I reviewed their gluten free menu before going in and again when I went inside to see if anything had changed. My husband and I went to place our order of the ultimate nacho basket with veggie chili. My husband asked one more time to make sure it is gluten free. The young lady, Nyah, asked the young guys in the back and they immediate said no and it’s the chips not the chili. My husband asked again bc the menu clearly shows nachos as gluten free. Nyah was very friendly and tried to help, but you can’t help when the kitchen has no idea what they are talking about. When we got our nachos, they were cold. Not even the chili was warm. If you’re going to say you have gluten free, your staff should be knowledgeable. The two guys in the kitchen were very obvious in their irritation at being questioned. The only 5 star I would give would be Nyah. The kitchen would be zero. McAlisters it’s time to step up and...
