McDonald's — Restaurant in Knoxville

I understand that fast food will be fast food and it won't always be the best quality. I have worked in many fast food places and you're lucky if even two or three of the workers care about the food that they're putting out. That's not just at McDonald's that's everywhere. However this McDonald's has been a hit or miss. Today on the other hand was a huge miss. I had ordered through DoorDash and gotten the Big Mac bundle for me and my kids to share along with a small mocha frappe for myself. I immediately started opening everything and putting things on two different plates until I realized that both medium fries were overcooked quite a bit. There was not a single soft fry and either container. They were all super crunchy with absolutely no salt. My kids wouldn't even touch the fries. I don't blame them, that's not the signature McDonald's fries that everyone has come to love over the years. The chicken nuggets that were in the bundle were missing three nuggets. That was a small problem for the kids because now they can't be divided equally (not for me because I ate the extra one). Both of the Big Macs were cheeseless. Mind you at this point I haven't ordered any special requests so there's no reason for the fries to be overcooked and be Big Macs to have no cheese. Last but not least, my small mocha frappe was ruined. I had requested for there to be no whipped cream and to add a shot of espresso and go very light on the chocolate drizzle. Well one thing is correct, they gave me no whipped cream. I don't believe I received my espresso shot. I can tell the difference and how bitter the drink tastes with the espresso added and I didn't get any of the bitter. However I was struck with an overwhelming taste of sweetness due to them lathering a whole inch of chocolate drizzle just on the very top of my drink not even mixed in like usual. It's no exaggeration when I say I stuck my finger in the chocolate and didn't reach the actual frappe until after the first bend of my finger. This location in particular has shorted me on nuggets more than once even when I personally go pick them up. If I try to call and complain then nobody answers. The one occasion I was answered and given the okay to come back to get my order fixed, the amount of attitude that was directed at me was ridiculous. I'm a socially awkward person anyway I don't need someone making me feel like I'm in the wrong for wanting the food that I actually ordered. I feel like they just need more employees at this location maybe that would take some of the stress off of the other employees and everyone could be kinder. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I love McDonald's but I would much rather do without the continuous...

Update: Decided we all need 2nd chances! So glad I decided this. I walked in and immediately thought i made a mistake as I approached the kiosk. 1st kiosk wasn't working so I went to the 2nd kiosk and bam worked like magic! Usually I have problems scanning my qr code but this one was a breeze. Went to the cash register and was greeted by a smiling employee who truly seemed to enjoy her job. I told her it was my 1st iced coffee & she told me (without having to look at my order a second time) that she thought that the way I ordered it was the best way (with plenty of sugar lol). When she brought my coffee moments later she asked me if i cared to try it before I left so I said I'd be happy to 😊!!! It was DELICIOUS !!! She seemed to thoroughly enjoy the fact that I loved it. Then she told me to make sure I ordered it with the sugar that it was what made it a "sweet treat" to her (a term we had tossed around during our conversation). Then I proceeded to make a 2nd order containing food. I used my McDonald codes on both orders and my $3.58 +T order was 99ç +T. Fast service, excellent food, clean store and great conversation in the few moments we had to talk No complaints today and in fact raving review of store and singing praise of the employee Christine with an E lol (apparently there is another employee without the e. I had to tell her how much i liked her name and asked her about the spelling to make sure I had it correct as my vision isn't as great as it used to be lol). . .

Boo its one of the slowest rudest stores I go to. Ordered food paid for it and they were gonna let me drive off without it. Thankfully I learned to always check my bags n knocked on the drive thru window & asked for it. Had to wait almost 10 mins for them to say they were out of it. I could have money back or other food. I chose other food n then was told that I couldn't have it cause it costed more. I said outloud excuse me but explicit in my mind n offered to pay the difference. I asked for management as the line was around the bldg n 2 cars in front of me. AND imagine my shock when the mngr is one who packed my bag without food to start with. This McDonald’s is normally open till like 3am or 24/7 so when I got there at 11:30 I was surprised they told me they were closing in 30 min. so decided to just get a drink instead of an entire meal just to make it easier on them. I asked for a frappe they told me the machine was down. Okay that’s fine I asked for a McFlurry instead she said fine pull up. So I pull up pay for my McFlurry and she hands it to me. I notice it has a regular black plastic spoon in there . So I ask her if it was mixed up with the machine. She looks me in my eyes and says yes so I of course I trust her word. Why would a grown women lie about a McFlurry? Right? WRONG! So go on about my night. I get home ready to eat my McFlurry………and she lied right to my face . Not only was it not mixed up, there was barely any Oreos in there like maybe a small spoon full. So I call and speak with the manager Leah she tells me if I don’t get back before they close I won’t be able to get a refund and we both know I’m not gonna be able to get there in time. honestly I would’ve preferred they not even make it then to lie to my face about it and just throw 1 spoonful of Oreos on top it wasn’t worth 5 dollars I could’ve just got a sweet tea instead. if they were just honest and told me they didn’t feel like making it. OR when I asked her if she mixed it instead,.. of lying like a lil kid just be honest, i would've respected the honesty and just gone on about my business understanding that your ready to go. Instead I gave my hopes up thinking I was gonna get an actual McFlurry . Instead I got an ice cream cone (minus the cone) put in a cup which cost $1 and a side of Oreo topping which it like $0.95….
