We did the online order for two subs and chips for pick-up. They made the subs 20 minutes before we had requested them to be ready (we got a confirmation email) and they were sitting on the counter when we got there. The subs were incorrectly and poorly made, adding Italian dressing to one and forgetting mayo on the other. They also forgot to include our chips when we picked them up. The bread was so soggy on my sandwich we decided to throw those away and go back for new subs. When we got there, we politely explained what happened and asked if they could make new subs. They stated it was their policy that they had to have the old subs in order to make new ones, no exceptions. We decided to go home and dig our subs out of the trash can so that we could return and get our money back. The woman who had informed me of the policy earlier would not make eye contact with me and told me that my sandwiches were soggy because I had ordered oil and vinegar on them, not because they had been sitting there for 30 minutes before we got there. She did not apologize for the missing and added items to the subs or for the inconvenience. There was a gentleman there who was polite throughout and did apologize. I'm sure they do fine if you're standing there watching them make your sub, but the lack of customer service in their behavior, policies, and poor online order system leaves something to be desired. If I pay an extra $2 for a minuscule scoop of smashed avocado, just give me smashed avocado? EVERY time I order here something is missing, not to mention I stand there for 5-10 minutes every time without any acknowledgement. As someone who works retail in an establishment that takes mobile orders, I understand the disdain for them but there’s actually no reason to just not give people what they order. And this is habitual for this location. Also a frequent occurrence that sides have been missing from my orders and I have to beg for explanation, just to be told bluntly that they’ve run out, with no offers for a refund or replacement items until I quite literally beg for that too. I advise that one doesn’t place a mobile order here unless they want incorrect toppings and to be treated like you’re imposing for ordering and picking up. Decided to use DoorDash this time around, because we were busy at work, and I really was craving my usual. Made an order through the app, and made sure it was easy to read what I ordered. Which by the way, is only a foot long on herb and cheese, TOASTED, with ham, lettuce, American cheese and mayo. Not sure if it’s due to understaffing, or just plain old laziness, but this sandwich was thrown together like a child made it (picture attached). Not to mention that it’s labeled IN ORDER on the receipt that they put in the bag.
I’m not one to leave reviews, but this genuinely irritated me. I know working fast food probably isn’t ideal, but I would be fired from my job if I put this type of effort into what I do.
