Slow service for a Friday morning. Two people working the tables. Staff seemed more keen on socializing with the locals at the tables than take your order at the counter. But one must have patience. They moved efficiently and discussed the need for a server tomorrow. But the staff was nice. They wore tie dye shirts with branded logo. This business was quaint and local. They swore like sailers. Friendly. Moose-themed decor. Quiet. Was so quiet you could hear the food sizzling on the grill in the kitchen. Lots of hunters in town wearing camouflage. Lots of men with beards. They didn't blend in with the decor in their fatigues. I didn't see any rifles. Overall a place to eat. Supporting local is the way to go. When in Kremmling give it a go. The waitress shot a bear two days ago. Bonus star for that but if trivia.

Laid back atmosphere. I was there early and it was mostly locals. I enjoyed listening to the local banter. As an out of towner, makes life more interesting. It wasn't crowded, so the way I like it, no wait. On a Sunday before 9 am third week of August, I expected more crowded. I guess that's the advantage of staying in a small town. Away from the big crowds. My food was quite good. I got a side of green chili and it was good too. They seem to specialize in dishes with ham, chorizo, pulled pork, in the breakfast dishes. But regular breakfast is a staple. Service is good but they don't check and look enough for a person that likes coffees continuously. But get their attention and all is good again. Recommended.

Atmosphere is everything! We go to diners for a comfortable, warm, home-y feeling. I have to say the food and portions were great (I got a pork skillet and my friend chicken fried steak) we were satisfied, but walked away not feeling like we enjoyed ourselves. The service was kind and good but not great. There were a lot of flies around (I killed 3), no music, and kind of a downer environment. I wouldnt go back despite the food and prices being really great. Atmosphere and experience is everything!

We ate lunch at the Moose today as we traveled through from Denver to Steamboat. This is the second time in as many months that we've enjoyed this local gem. The first time through I had breakfast at the counter. It was delicious, fresh and came with good conversation, the daily newspaper and a reasonable wait. Today we stopped for lunch. The open faced roast beef sandwich and BLT were both good and the service excellent. Everything was fresh and the mashed potatoes definitely weren't from a box. It's interesting that other reviewers are complaining about slow service even after reading the sign posted on the front door recommending the deli across the street if you are in a hurry. There's also a McDonald's in Silverthorne. I personally will make a point to eat at the Moose Cafe every time I travel...

Awesome biscuits and gravy, and their sausage links are really good! They gave you three that were huge, and the quality of them was definitely worth the price, highly suggest them. Also, their sourdough toast is delicious, and in fact it was good enough that I boxed it up to take home with me. It reheated nicely in the air fryer, and I had to keep an eye on it to stop my family from trying to steal all of it.

Service was also very quick, and I was able to get my food and be out within half an hour, so if you need a quick bite while traveling or before work, this seems like the place to go in Kremmling. Plus the waitress was very nice and attentive! Prices were also nice and reasonable, and they give good serving sizes.

If I'm ever driving through Kremmling again I'll be...
