Today I was near the “Latte Da’ coffee shop in Kuna, so I thought I would try it for the first time in the drive thru. There were five cars ahead of me and soon 5 cars behind me and it was taking over 5 minutes for each car to complete their order. Once I got to the speaker, there were only 3 cars in front of me, however I noticed the speaker didn’t work and a sign instructed me to go to the drive through window. By that time there were more cars behind me. When I finally got to the window after waiting in line over 15 minutes, I asked the lady if their speaker just got broke and she replied that it’s been that way for a long time. I ordered my drink and then asked for a ‘pup cup’ for my dog. The check out lady was about to get it for me when a 14 year old looking person with a pasted on oh so fake smile said to me “Sorry, but we don’t do pup cups”. I asked her if she could just put one pump of whip cream in one of the small tasting cups but again, she only replied with her plastic fake smile and repeated what she said earlier. Meanwhile my two dogs were waiting anxiously for their treat. At that time I told her to cancel my order and headed over to Moxie Java in Kuna. When I got to Moxie, I noticed two cars that were behind me at Latte Da were now in line at Moxie Java. How does a place like that Latte Da get so much business when they aren’t willing to dish out a little customer service? Well, at least I know I’ll never have to go back to that...
Read moreSorry to say but I will NEVER go there again. Ordered 2 drinks and asked for a pup cup. Was told NO, they have dog biscuits. My dog is food sensitive so that's not an option. The sweet gal said she would put some whip cream in a little cup for me. Then other employees huddled up with her and she came back to the window and said the owner does not allow pup cups so she wasn't going to give me the whip in a cup because she didn't want to get FIRED. I offered to buy a child's size hot chocolate, with whip hold the hot chocolate and the gal refused because she was afraid she would get fired. Yes I am irritated about not not being able to even buy my dog a treat. I am sure if I had ordered the little whip for a child it wouldn't even be an issue. But whatever. I won't ever go there again because I won't support a business owner who's employees are so terrified of being fired they won't even sell you a squeeze of whip cream for the price of an entire drink that comes...
Read moreI visited this week and ordered a smoothie. What they called a smoothie was more like a slushie so It was much sweeter than I expected, so I politely and nicely asked the server if I could exchange it for an iced tea instead. The server flat-out refused and offered no alternative and she said that she would have to charge me for an iced tea and told me that it wasn’t their fault I didn’t like the drink.
I’ve been in the restaurant industry for many years, and I would be upset if one of my staff treated a customer this way. A simple swap or even a courteous suggestion would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen here, and it’s the kind of experience that makes people not want to return. I wanted to drink the smoothie but I told her I would get sick if I drink it but she really didn’t want to...
