Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Kyle

After trying the food at a location further north I was so stoked to see Einstein bros come to Kyle… But the location in Kyle is just “poor” to say the least! At first the location was order and go only, but now they put some “kid” tables right where everyone is standing in line, and it’s crowded! If yall didn’t expect to have seating, rearrange the line so people who are sitting down have BUTT right next to their face!

The food is made very carelessly, and it’s SLOPPY! ( make sure you have 50 napkins per bagel )

My real reason for this review is I’ve ordered online for pickup 3 weekends in a row; first weekend they got the whole order messed up, so I figured “ stuff happens” we are all human. I called and they said to get a refund you have to come to the store or call customer service. Being that I was 20mins north of Kyle I decided to pick through the sandwich and eat what I like “ the egg “, the next weekend I ordered for pickup up, and because the place was super busy I decided to “trust” they made it right. Well I got someone else order that was 3 sandwiches, and 4 pastries. Score for me but I still didn’t get what I ordered.

Last weekend I went in ordered with my wife, then being it was a 20 min wait we went to Starbucks came back, food was ready. We got to the vehicle, checked the food and hers was semi right “ they gave her 3 eggs when she ordered just one, and my sandwich was plain bagel with 3 eggs! I went in for a refund, got it then was offered a pastry! lol

Not every Einstein is like this! Just sad as many people were excited for this...

I am usually not one to hit up a new restaurant the first week, or first month they are open, as they are working all the kinks out. The manager has been hard at work letting folks know about the new store. He mentioned to place the order online which will make it way easier. Before heading over, I had already downloaded the Einstein Bros. app. I place my order, pay for it via the app and head over. App tells me it will be about 15 to 20 minutes. I drive over. The parking lot is a bit chaotic as they are still finishing up some of the stores. There is a small line, but lots of folks waiting around for their orders. I go up to the pick up area and do not see my name. I jump in line real quick, just to make sure I did not miss anything. The manager is behind the counter, helping with customers and orders. I check on my order and right as they are looking for it, it it put in the to go window.

The bagel sandwich is chewy and fresh. The eggs were fluffy. I opted for a hash brown bagel. It was quite tasty. I was impressed they had an option for you to get bagels for your dogs. My only complaint was they did not have a drive through; but, at this location, there is not an option for a drive through.

The staff at this place was on point. It was running like a well oiled machine. The manager was amazing as he was multi-tasking. If you are going to go, order your food via the app. It is definitely way easier and much faster. I am glad to see we have a new breakfast stop in the Kyle...

The breakfast sandwich we ordered was amazing, and the caramel iced shake was on point.

However, we ordered a hashbrown, and when I took a bite, it was cold . I went back in and let someone know, and she was super polite about it and told me I'd get a new one asap . The girl who was in charge of the eggs/hashbrowns (I'm assuming) seemed a bit annoyed by this ... but made a new one for me . I got it and left . I took one bite ... it was colder than the first one 🤦🏻‍♀️ I went back in because this was not okay and at this point I didn't even want it anymore, so I just let them know if someone is going to pay almost $2 for 1 hashbrown it should atleast be warm.

The woman i spoke to expressed that she was sorry about this and made me an accommodation for the next time I go back, which was very nice .

Also the location smelled like something was always burning and it was because the machine that they use to heat stuff up was burning parchment paper and whoever was operating it didn't care to change it until it was completely black.

I hope things get worked out because the coffee and bagels were...
