So, we were visiting friends in the area. We dined in on Friday, Aug 30th. The service was not as I am reading from others' experiences. I wish I could give a 5star. I left a review, and Nikki was very responsive. She came to our table to address the issues. She offered to take off our salad, and I mentioned I was not looking for a freebie. She insisted that she knew I was not. She offered us 3 free small pizza cards. Then here is our second visit on Monday, September 2nd. We walked in, and the restaurant was busy but not like Friday night. We were seated, only to have to wait 10 minutes before 3 servers looked at us to see whose table it was. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. Jake came over, and I explained the bad service we received on Friday, and it was rolling over 3 days later. I mentioned to him what Nikki told me via the company's texting system. He read it and insisted that we keep our cards for a free pizza, and he would take care of it meal. We ordered the Caprese salad. Our server came to ask if Jake came over to let us know they ran out of the ingredients to make the salad. I said no, he had not. We ordered a different salad. Jake came over to check on us, I mentioned that he did not acknowledge to tell us about not having the salad we had ordered. He took full responsibility. I post this to let the owner, franchise, know as this is a new establishment and needs some correction to making sure this is not a continuing issue. ALSO, I witnessed the crew using the same towels to wipe down the tables, and they used it to wipe down the seats, too. GROSS! I mentioned to Nikki. Again, we do not live in the area but frequent our friends, and we will be back in a few months. Hopefully, this review is addressed, and action is...
Read moreI had the sincere pleasure of visiting this location a bit before their grand opening. The staff was so very friendly and attentive, even though it was already busy with the pre-opening event.
I had the Night Moves cocktail, which surprised me with how tasty it was. Good level of balance in terms of booziness and I enjoyed the unique taste. Wasn't expecting a drink from a pizza place to be legit!
From there, I had the roasted artichokes, marinated with marinara and with mozzarella, goat cheese, and came with crostini. Definitely a tasty dish without being overly cheesy.
The star of the show is definitely the pizza and if you have never had Detroit style, you're in for a treat! The style is a rectangular shape, with a crispy caramelized cheesy edge. I got the Cadillac, which comes with prosciutto, parmesan, gorgonzola, fig preserves, topped with a balsamic glaze. The prosciutto is salty and has nice big slices distributed on each slice of pizza and the sweetness of the balsamic is balanced by the delicious cheese and crispy crust, while the pizza still remains a fantastic moistness to it in the middle.
I've had a friend from Detroit who has been with me to try a different Via 313 location up north, and he says it's absolutely spot on for the style. This location in Kyle is no different, as everything tastes perfect.
From Gilbert and Wes at the bar, to my conversations with Will and Jake (the general manager), everyone was more than happy to see how I was doing. I'm sure I'm missing some names but everyone was so friendly despite being busy. Major shout out to all the staff here!
I can honestly say this is one of my favorite pizza places and I'm beyond excited to have a location so close to home now. Looking forward to visiting many more...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to try this place out even considering the fact that it was Valentine’s Day. (In my mind I thought most people are probably going to order out.) Little did we know that it was going to be busy, but we were sat down immediately. The hostess was so friendly and polite towards our 7 month old. :) We ordered an arugula beet salad, as well as roasted Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. The beet salad was ok, not bad but also not too crazy. But the brussel sprouts were phenomenal!!! It’s hard to get brussel sprouts just right but via313 knows how to get them perfect and tender! My husband order an omnivore Detroit style pizza as I ordered the Cadillac. Our wait time for our food was about 20-25 min (it was Valentine’s Day so we could understand). Once it arrived our food was hot and we both took those first bites and immediately said to each other “you should try mine!” My husband was skeptical of the Cadillac and then he said “how about we trade half for half?” (We ordered the 4 square Detroit) I only told him we could trade 1 square since I absolutely loved my pick! We ate half of our pizza and wanted to make room for dessert which was a hub cap. Even after the dessert since it was our first time ever there our waitress said that they were going to throw in a free box of their cinnamon sticks ( a delicacy!!!) in regards to their gratitude for us trying out their restaurant. We will definitely be returning back to via313, due to the proximity, atmosphere, fresh food and friendliness from...
