El Roble — Restaurant in Kyle

The food was delicious. The only thing you're missing is homemade tortillas. One thing, though. Check your prices on the menu and compare them to what they're charging you. Because I had ordered a Chorizo plate, I had a price of 10.99, and I asked the waitress. What came on the plate. She said I could have it with eggs or just chorizo a la mexicana . So that's what I ordered. chorizo a la mexicana. And a sweet tea to go. They gave me a total of 19.98, so I asked her what they had charged me on the plate. She said they had charged me 14.99 because the chorizo didn't have any egg. I mentioned to her that in the menu. It said 10.99. Did not say anything about the way you order it. Anyway, they gave me $2.25 back. So I think they still overcharge me. Cause my plate 10.99 +, say 4.00 for tea. I should have gotten 5.01 minus...

Great little place for breakfast. Passing though town and some family recommended this place as a stop. We met up at El Roble and caught up over breakfast. First, This is not a big place, that being said, seems most folks opt for the drive thru which was never empty when we were there. great. Second, It's a hole in the wall. There's not a bunch of money spent on decor and I love it. The food speaks for itself. I had a plate of Eggs over easy and barbacoa. The barbacoa was spot on and it was clean. I sure enjoy these small businesses for breakfast and lunch. We were in Kyle, and I wanted a home cooked breakfast but didn't want to make it myself. So I googled breakfast nearest me and looked for something besides big chain restaurants. I saw some of the photos were just the kind of breakfast I was looking for late in the day. I am so looking forward to trying other menu items in the near future. I'm willing to drive from downtown Austin to Kyle for it. That's how good they are.
