Sunday evening, normally go to subway to get several sandwiches, one for dinner and another for lunch the next day in the office. I do this every Sunday. I walk in there this evening, and I'm 3rd in line. The larger gentleman that is behind the counter keeps talking about going to the Salt Lick, which is weird because we're at the subway and no one really cares if you're going to go eat at the Salt Lick later. It's him and one other person that are working the counter and everything is extremely slow no one is really get too concerned about speed or efficiency and everyone is going at their own pace. By the time the sandwich in front of the second person in front of me has completed, a line has amassed of 14 people deep, that included one family of 6, several other couples, and asingle person by themselves. The larger gentleman is making a chicken bacon and ranch sandwich in front of me and I noticed that his gigantic gut is hanging over top of the actual counter where the sandwiches are being made and is touching the open-faced sandwich that has been cut open with his gut multiple times, there are crumbs on his shirt, his gut is all over the top of that counter. I know I keep saying gut and that's not a very politically correct term nowadays but there's no other way to really explain how disgusting and overall vile in nature it is to watch someone's fat parts hang over an area that they're making a sandwich and literally plopping down upon the sandwiches while they're being made. I finally turned and expressed my displeasure both to this gentleman and to everyone else that's in line at the subway currently and everyone and by everyone I mean everyone in line turned and walked out of that establishment; we all went across the street and we all ordered Jersey Mike's instead just because of how absolutely ridiculously disgusting this Subway has turned into. Also to note: the woman assistant to this larger gentleman couldn't figure out the difference between olive oil and vinegar and ended up ruining that third person in line in front of me's wrap by putting vinegar on his wrap instead of actual olive oil like he had requested. I don't know what happened to this Subway establishment but the people that they hire there have an IQ no greater than a tomato plant everyone should avoid this establishment...
Read moreI think the main mistake I made was ordering from this specific store! I made an online order at 6:50pm. Order confirmation said "Ready at 7:15". OK, I can work with that.
I arrive at the store at 7:10. There are about 7 people in the line total, not groups. After nearly 5 minutes of standing next to the order pickup area, the young woman asks, "Are you here for a pickup?" Yes, yes I am. Her response, "It will be just a few minutes." Oh...my order ticket was sitting on the make-line, waiting to be made.
Fast forward 20 minutes.
All the people that were in the line had now received their orders. So did two orders that came in AFTER I arrived. One of the young ladies who was receiving her food said to me, "Maybe you should remind them you are here." I respond, "They are about to really know I am here!"
So the young woman on the make-line says that they "had to get the line down before they could get mine made. I said no...you should have started to make mine the moment I walked in the door, and put me ahead of the rest of the line, since my order was now ALREADY LATE.
Finally, she starts making my order. Service quality didn't improve. My wife's toasted turkey sandwich ends up burned on top. Why? The sandwich was not open-faced when they put it in the toaster. She couldn't even eat the top because it was burned. As for my sandwich...where do I begin?
Let's see. I ordered a Chicken Bacon Ranch, with double meat, plus extra bacon and some other toppings. First, in order to qualify as a Chicken Bacon Ranch, you have to have BACON! There was not a single strip on my sandwich. The double meat was questionable, since the woman didn't even measure, she just grabbed a handful of chicken and threw it on the bread. Sandwich artist? Sure, if you want to be dealing with ABSTRACT art! I couldn't even pick up the sandwich, because it was such a mess.
Oh...the young woman wasn't even wearing a hat/hairnet. Her hair wasn't in a ponytail; it was just hanging down to her shoulders. Good thing I am not a health inspector!!
If service like this is the norm at this Subway shop, perhaps Subway Corporate should consider revocation of their...
Read moreTonight (3/10/19) was the first time I've ever had poor service. 2 teenage girls were working there. From the moment I walked in it started, one rolled her eyes and walked to the back. No greeting what-so-ever. The two girls stood there talking about going on a trip to Mexico. This lasted almost 3 or 4 min before they even asked for our order. When they finally took our first order, they were grumpy as heck. The whole time they ignored us,and kept talking about personal things. When my youngest ordered, the teenager asked what he wanted. He told her, she then asked again what he wanted, to which he responded. This went on for about 4 more times. After my two boys ordered, the one making sandwiches let out a huge sigh as if she was peeved because she had to tend to us. The girl who checked us out had her elbows on the register as if she didn't want to be there. She rung up our order, with the rudest expression on her face. I asked when their manager was going to be in to which she mumbled 'i dunno, whenever she gets here'. I paid, she asked if I wanted my receipt to which I said nope. She then threw the receipt at me. This used to be the only subway I came to for sandwiches. With service like this, I certainly won't be coming back.
UPDATE: 3/11/19 - This morning I spoke with the manager. She was unaware that any of her employees were disrespecting their customers so much. She did say she would speak and discipline the two girls. Service was so much better this morning. Definitely a difference. Will continue to go here during the day and try to...
