I was so excited to try this place out but when I went the first time, they were closed due to Hmong New Year in La Crosse, WI.
The handwritten sign on their door said they would be back on September 24 so I placed an online order and paid on September 23 to be picked up on September 24. I show up and the place is still closed. Tried calling, no answer. I show up the next day and they're still closed. Called again, no answer. I called every day that week and there was no answer.
The next week I went on a vacation I previously planned and when I get back on October 9, I call again and reach the owner and explain what happened. She said some nonsense how they were closed that week because of Hmong New Year despite there being a handwritten sign attached to their door that says "closed due to Hmong New Year, be back September 24".
I didn't argue her point and just said that I wanted my refund. She said she would issue a refund. It's now October 12 and there's no refund on my card, pending or otherwise.
Now I get the fun activity of reaching out to my credit card company and disputing the charge on my card. Another waste of time.
All I wanted was some good food. Instead I went through numerous hoops for food I never even got to eat. Poor service. Do...
Read moreFive of us went here to try their boba and doughnuts. The pictures online looked like an inviting atmosphere. The drinks and food looked delicious. Unfortunately, we received the opposite experience. When we arrived, the location was opened, but the lights inside were off. There were 2 other customers. We went up to place our order, and the individual taking the order didn't seem knowledgeable and was very nonchalant, almost as if we were a burden for being there. We ordered doughnut, and we also got drinks. We took a seat and ate our doughnuts (they tasted ok) as we waited on our drinks. We needed Napkins, so I got up and walked back to the counter, where 1 of the 2 workers was having a conversation with the other 2 customers (seemed more like acquaintances) and I was never acknowledged or asked what I needed. I waited quite a while and kept waiting for a pause in their conversation long enough to ask, but that never happened, so I went back to my seat. Our drinks were finally done, and honestly, it was not satisfying. After spending $50+ for 5 people (drinks and doughnuts), I can honestly say I would not be going back and the experience was disappointing. The customer service and...
Read moreThe Korean corn dogs were amazing especially the potato. Pad Thai was surprisingly disappointing. It had a weird taste to it thatâs not suppose to be in Pad Thai and Iâm not even sure on how to explain it but it was inedible due to the smell and taste. Pad Thai is suppose to be sweet, sour and savory; it did not have any of those flavors. Mango sticky rice is good but the rice couldâve been cooked more as it was still a bit hard. It did not come with coconut sauce on the side to drizzle over. Papaya flavor was alright but the texture of the papaya was a little weird. Vermicelli salad couldâve used more sauce as it was not enough to coat everything properly, and it did not come with marinated chicken but boiled lemon grass chicken breast which I find misleading. Probably the star of the menu is the Korean corn dogs tbh. Willing to give them another try just to try out the mochi donuts and their milk teas since everyone raves about it. Will come back...
